WoW Moviewatch: Nobody Like You Special: Machinima {WoW}

Apr 8th 2011 5:23PM Australian? I was just trying to sound like a brown orc. :P

But seriously, looking back my Queensland was too thick and I used too much lingo. Would have worked in a mockumentary but just as an accent it failed.

WoW Moviewatch: Nobody Like You Chris-- er Hanukkah Special? {WoW}

Dec 21st 2010 2:46PM wow there's something I didn't expect to be posted ever again. Hard to believe that was a year ago. Thanks for posting it Mike. For everyone that liked it I'm glad I could make you smile.:)

And to everyone who doesn't like it, I agree that I could have done a lot more(I think I made the entire thing in an evening) but I wanted to get it out for Hanukkah last year. LK's voice is a little too gravely which makes him hard to understand at a couple points. I also could have done more with Nobody. Unfortunately it is still the only Hanukkah themed wow machinima. And as far as I know there are no Kwanzaa ones... I challenge any and all persons of machinima to make a Kwanzaa video.

WoW Moviewatch: Staghorn Gets a Pat Down {WoW}

Nov 26th 2010 6:32PM Ok I'm sorry, but seriously internet?!

I think it's great that we can have an intellectual discussion about the use of stereotypes in media. However Oxhorn isn't "homo-bashing" in this video. He characterized a male night elf TSA member that "likes" tauren(who doesn't?) but is also a pervert. I know this may come as a shocker, but there are people in this world that have that accent. Instead of "stereotypical gay guys" I call them my next door neighbors. If Oxhorn really wanted to villainize the gay community he would have made the TSA elf sound like the guy in Deliverance.

If anything this is a satirical look at the TSA's new full body scanners and their potential invasion of privacy in the context of a WoW machinima. Oxhorn isn't preaching that it's wrong to sound that way or be who you are. He's saying that in the context of our culture we have to remember that sometimes "to be safe" we can create a situation that is just as, or if not more harmful.(Next week we'll critically analyze Snacky's Journal)

If you really want an inappropriate joke:"TSA Pedophiles: Making sure nothing is hidden in your child's anus since 1965"

Anti-Aliased: Even virtual relationships are hot button issues pt. 2 {Massively}

Apr 2nd 2010 10:24PM Ok so everyone knows that this will be a T rated game right?(lucas arts won't do M rated games) So while there will be romantic plots there won't be any of the beast with two backs. So at most we're talking about embrace or maybe "single kiss pan to sunset" type of interaction.

As for the argument about should romance plots be in the game, for what bioware wants to do absolutely. They have said many times that they want to provide great story telling and let's face it, romances make for good stories.

Should they have homosexual romances? I think so. Lucas said(well 1980's Lucas) "The best part about Star Wars(original trilogy) is that most everyone can see a bit of themselves in the main characters." So why would they exclude something that some people are. As for the "think of the children" defense, kids will naturally make the choice of what they like(kids are selfish like that). And guess what? If you have a 7 year old playing this game(which you shouldn't since it'll be rated teen -_-) they're probably gonna make the choice of "Ewwww they have cooties!"

As for the people saying "It'll take away from my type of gameplay!" The game won't be out for a year. How about we wait until the public testing is underway before we make those accusations.

But hey, it's ok I understand. I want this game to be out now just like everyone else, unfortunately none of us are in the possession of a DeLorean to change that.

WoW Moviewatch: Druid Anthem {WoW}

Jan 14th 2010 3:27PM so do I... so do I...

I think a lot of potential machinimasts(not sure if that's the correct term but whatever) don't go through with their machinima because of a fear of the machinima doing poorly/don't think they can get their graphics of the film up to say Baron Soosdon standards. When in reality you don't need that stuff to make a good machinima. I mean look at you wowcrendor, you use paint and you're the highest rated comic machinimast of the last year.

I've said it before but, It doesn't matter what people think of your machinima. As long as you enjoy making it that's all that matters.

As for this video, there were a lot of vibrant colors.
