Maintenance extended: 5:00 p.m. PST {WoW}

Nov 23rd 2010 3:32PM I sure do.
They will give us one more saying "We are working on bringing all realms online, and expect them to all be playable within the next hour. Thank you for your patience, (something about adventures in new azeroth)"
of course, that is only if they don't extend the maintenance again with another "due to 'unforseen' circumstances...." style message. If it happens to be extended once more, I won't expect to be online until at least tomorrow (after midnight).

Patch 4.0.3a, The Shattering: Patch notes {WoW}

Nov 23rd 2010 12:46PM So I read all this... everyone is all "OMG MY CLASS GOT NERFED!" .....
what about "WTF! 25% HEALING REDUCTION WASN'T ENOUGH, NOW ITS ONLY 10%?!!"
seriously, in bg's shamans and druids could literally have 3 people on them and still heal themselves fine with 25% healing reduction. 10% healing reduction IS NOT WORTH THE POISON on my rogues weapon. I said it about the 25%, its just not worth the healing reduction, when druids are still roflhotting themselves at 100% health and killing you with 1 moonfire every 10 secs. 10% healing reduction, I'll use another poison to boost my burst damage, rather than worry about that 10k heal only going to heal for 9k, when I could do 2-3k more damage with a different poison.
50% healing reduction = fine, maybe a touch excessive ( I played healers in bg's too)
25% healing reduction = healers laughing at everyone in a bg, esp if theres 2.
10% healing reduction = wtf

Known issues with Patch 4.0.1 {WoW}

Oct 12th 2010 1:47PM - Paladin
Divine Guardian is reducing the damage the Paladin takes by 20% instead of reducing the damage his party members take by 20%.

that seems like a pretty major bug. People are gunna complain about how OP paladins are in pvp again....especially because (I think) this ability is on a timer, with no Forbearance debuff. Meaning they can use this, chained to another bubble, while they rip your face from your skull...

Realm Status: Coming back online {WoW}

Dec 8th 2009 6:22PM forgot to mention taking the forums offline every time shit starts hitting the fan too.
Customer Service Skills = A++++

Realm Status: Coming back online {WoW}

Dec 8th 2009 6:21PM DAMNIT! I WAS WRONG AGAIN!! I only predicted blizzard would underestimate themselves by 4 hours this patch (even tho it came down 5 hours earlier). but still, GG Blizz. G effin G. Anyone remember the time the borked the mail so bad we were down for a whole day? Its a good thing were still in BETA here. Blizz will have their shit straightened by the time WoW goes live to the world.
Sure they stopped with the "come back in an hour for another come back in an hour, and thanks for your patience" messages.....but they stopped giving us any feedback whatsoever ANYWHERE. That sure was an improvement.
whats the saying...? Put a million monkeys on a million computers and someday they will program an MMO?

Ghostcrawler: Haste-y DoTs and HoTs for Priests {WoW}

Nov 3rd 2009 12:03PM IMO making HoT's roll with haste will be OP AS HELL for druids. Think about it. Druids are already complete BS in PvP. They can already roflhot themselves through 50% healing reduction with 2 dps on them. Now lets make the HoT's tick even faster? This will have no effect on paladin healing, and very little on priest healing. (I'm not too familiar with shaman healing, but I imagine the effect to be a little more useful to the shaman than the priest) either way, hastey HoT's is a HUGE druid buff, and just kinda meh for the rest. Druids are already in good, if not best standing for healing as it is....maybe its just my opinion, but resto druids dont need buffs.
As for DoT's, it may be nice for everyone, (not favoring locks at all...... /endsarcasm). Most classes have DoT effects.
Isn't this the opposite drection blizz wanted to take the game? after all, attack power, defense rating, armor pen, spellpower, mp5, are all being removed from the game come cataclysm, in order to simplify the game even more, and make every class an exact duplicate of the next guy, and the guy after him.

[Updated] Realm Status: All realms to be online by 10:30pm EDT {WoW}

Sep 1st 2009 3:01PM Im going to go ahead and say it now. Next week, there will be hardware maintenance for the servers who havent seen it yet. They will tell us that all realms not on the list will be playable by 11pdt and the ones on the list by 1201pdt. THEN they'll experience a problem and update us telling us all servers will be down for extended maintenance (approx 3 more hours) at about 5-10mins to the time were supposed to be up and running.

Its like a goddamn time lapse or the worst kind of deja-vu. It happened last week. The EXACT same thing happened this week. The EXACT same thing will happen next week. As we've seen, blizz does not learn from their mistakes and constantly over estimate their abilities. We all know.

Scheduled maintenance for Tuesday, September 1st, 2009 {WoW}

Sep 1st 2009 2:05PM EDIT TO MY LAST POST:

Im going to go ahead and say it a week in advance. Next week, maintenance will be a hardware upgrade for the rest of the servers who havent seen it yet. 20 mins before uptime some1 at blizz HQ says something like this "HOLY FUCK!!! IT HAPPENED AGAIN!! Get on there and extend the maintenance another 3 hours like the last 2 weeks. AND DONT FORGET TO THANK THEM FOR THEIR PATIENCE THIS TIME!" that would make 3 identical maintenances in a row. lets see if encountering the same problem twice in a row will make them plan for it next week, or if theyre gunna take a big spoonful of the same B/S on the same spoon, and fly it down our throat while making airplane noises again.

Sep 1st 2009 1:56PM We were given that lag after the last maintenance on MalGanis. No problems before the maintenance, 5-10sec ui lag after. AND we still get the additional instances can't be launched error. If you think it will be alleviated dont be dissappointed if its worse, and they have to bring your server down for restarts and all that fun stuff that goes with tuesdays.
ON TOP OF THAT, the servers on the list stayed down for another 2 hours after the rest came up, with nothing said. Just a forewarning, anyone on the list still has like 5-6 hours before they get to play, talking from my last weeks experience, which, has been as copy/pasted as blizz's "we have a problem, come back in an hour" messages.

Scheduled maintenance for Tuesday, September 1st, 2009 {WoW}

Sep 1st 2009 1:50PM Well, we've already gotten the "we've experienced an error in our maintenance and had to increase the time by 3 hours" message. I tried to race it here. I wonder if it's a little like the one they experienced last week while trying to do THE EXACT SAME GODDAMN THING!? they couldn't plan for the things to go exactly the same as they did last week while they encountered the same problem. GG Blizz.

BTW my server was on the list last week, it didnt come up until 2 hours after the rest without any warning or hourly copy/paste updates. so if ur on the list, they still mean your server wont be up until after the rest by the same time margin.
