Nov 7th 2010 9:18AM How will phasing affect our ability to use mounts that carry ppl such as the rockets, cycles or mammoths? Will we no longer be able to carry our lowbies around? Can we carry lowbies on flying mounts like the rocket?

Cataclysm: Blood will be the only Death Knight tanking tree {WoW}

Apr 7th 2010 1:20PM Hero class...right. DK's have just been watered down to a basic group along with everyone else. It was supposed to be hard and difficult to handle all of the options.

15 Minutes of Fame: The Syndicate's 14 years of gaming {WoW}

Mar 9th 2010 5:55PM /agree..my time in wow is coming to an end for the very same reasons. There are no truly social guilds on my server with "adults" as leaders.

Some realms suffer extended downtime [Updated] {WoW}

Jun 2nd 2009 8:45PM Oh yeah, bet they tested that!.. I run a Data center for a very large company..this would be my ass if this happened to me. I don't care if it's a game and just $15..there is no excuse for repeated failures to test changes properly. The downtime isn't the issue at all..it's the sheer incompetence that causes it that irks me.

Addon Spotlight: New, old, and outdated! {WoW}

Nov 16th 2008 4:23AM I have been using Auctioneer advanced long before the patch came out and forced everyone to move over. It has worked extremely well the whole time and ppl just need to change or move on and quit complaining. It works great except for a few minor bugs.

Realms offline until at least 6:00pm EST [Updated] {WoW}

Nov 11th 2008 10:11PM I'm not going to go to another MMO, but I will look for something I can play locally(non-server) from time to time that is challenging as well.

Actually I guess I'll go see if the XBOX360 still works. It has a lot of dust on it.

Nov 11th 2008 10:05PM While I completely agree that this is a game and there are more
important things in life, it's funny how just a few ppl are telling
us to quit complaining and go do something else, yet they are
obviously sitting here and commenting all day long as well and not
going to do something else.

I am a consulting IT professional who has managed large server farms and IT departments. Let me just say, something like this would get me fired if it happened several times in 1 year, let alone several times in one month. If you think it's just a game, you are dumb. This is a business that make almost $150+ million a month in revenue. For that kind of money, you can afford a much better QA group and a much better testing system to catch whatever screwed this up so badly. I would also expect full redundancy that you could switch to in the event of a major screw up like this.

I truly believe they are working as hard and as fast as possible to
get this back up, but supporting the incompetence that leads to this
is pretty funny. It's a real business with real customers, game or
not.
