May 25th 2011 5:00PM I'd say it's the tank's responsibility to touch all the mobs in a reasonable time. I've found that just one tap from thunderclap/blood boil/swipe/hammer of righteous is enough to remove the threat of healer aggro, or at least keep the mob's attention long enough to get in some more hits. I agree that initial healer aggro can be a challenge to deal with, but unless the devs want to create a new attack with a 200 yard aoe that does half a point of threat like all heals have, everyone will just have to be clever about handling it.

May 25th 2011 3:53PM I'd say the tank that is doing well enough to allow for boss kills should get first pick of the tank gear. After all, he's taking on more responsibility for the run than a dime-a-dozen dps. Please someone argue to the contrary, I could use a laugh today.

Oct 13th 2010 2:35PM I'm not 100% positive on this info, as I've forgotten where I saw it, but I believe the "release patch" (4.0.3 in this case) will be released 1 week prior to the actual expansion. I guess to get in some last-minute stress/bug testing on the new content so everyone doesn't poop their panties when the expansion comes out when their computers spontaneously implode upon installation (I've SEEN it).

Oct 8th 2010 12:53AM Everyone will have higher health and mobs will hit hard, but healing spells will be either fairly weak/slow but cheap or powerful/fast but terribly mana inefficient. As a result, healers will have to choose who to heal and when to start casting carefully otherwise they'll run out of mana quickly. No more spam healing with infinite mana.

Just tell yourself, "it's not killing a friend by not healing them, it's saving lives by letting a less important friend die."

Good LORD I'm constantly amazed by how many people will pull aggro at the start of a fight, die, then sit back and watch while the group 4-mans the pull. 3 minutes later when I'm drinking myself back from zero mana, they have the gall to say, "OMG REZ PLZ". I'm tempted to leave them there, but I just don't want to be rude to the rest of the group.

Are invisible mobs ushering in the Cataclysm world event? {WoW}

Dec 28th 2009 2:36PM i believe that has to do with the sound played when players fly close to the ground in dalaran and are warned of the no-fly zone. it plays the roar sound of a fel reaver, which shakes the screen when you encounter one in hellfire penn. for some reason, it also affects other nearby players in dalaran when someone flies low by them
