Nov 12th 2009 1:02AM Dodge =/= mitigation. Dodge=avoidance, mitigation=armor/block.
Yes, I am sitting really high currently with my defense rating on my tankadin, and I have nothing gemmed/enchanted for defense right now. That does not mean that I would not like a tank weapon. I would love to see something perhaps with less defense and perhaps more armor on it...something more like Crusader's Glory is. Meh, until I get that to drop on heroic 10 ToC or one of the tribute weapons I will stick with my burnished Quel, looks a ton better then many of the other weapons out there, does the job, proc is up like 80% of the time, and not really that many weapons better for a tankadin at this moment.
Nov 6th 2009 12:20AM Well, Trial of the Grand Crusader glitched out on us tonight. Killed the beasts, went to start Jarraxxus only to have the NPC tell us that Grand Warlock Fizzlebanks will not arrive until next week. When a GM got back to us he told us we needed to remain outside the instance for 35 minutes. Go figure.
Jun 2nd 2009 2:24PM Some of the mirrors up have the full patch, downloaded it, and worked like a charm. Not like I can log into the game anyways though.
May 4th 2009 11:21PM To Plastic Rat:
I would think that tenaciousDK's response was to Hodir Hard mode, and the fact that it IS pretty much impossible. Ensidia managed to down him with 0.3 seconds to spare, and that was by spell stealing buffs from trash mobs in a completely separate area of the game (doubt that blizz intended this to be the way to do it).
Some things rightfully deserve the nerfs (this being one of them), but others not so much.
Mar 7th 2009 3:07PM You want Kings? That will be xyz silver, I mean I do have to buy these regeants.
Better yet, as a Tank, how about everyone pays for my repair bill, especially if you do something stupid and pull mobs for me (without me asking).
This is what I just do not understand. If at the beginning of a heroic we have an enchanter present and willing to DE, the rules are pass on any blues/purples that are not needed. At the end of the run, the enchanter DE the items, and then everyone does a /roll on the shards/crystal. If there are 5 shards/crystal everone gets something, if there are two the top two /rolls get the items.
People need to seriously look at some math here. If you greed roll for an item as an enchanter (refusing to DE the item) you have a 1 in 5 chance of getting the item. If you DE the item and raid roll at the end you STILL HAVE a 1 in 5 chance at the item. Often times in runs I do at least half the loot gets passed on to the enchanter, because no one needs it for main or off specs. By doing that the enchanter is effectively increasing their chances at getting a shard/crystal.
Feb 22nd 2009 9:59PM Wow, a voidwalker tank....I mean who would have thought of that? Oh wait, it was covered here about a week ago.
Nice try on the originiality there though.
Feb 18th 2009 12:20AM Tonight in the military wing of Naxx there were red portals constantly spawning the unkillable ghosts. We all zoned out once, and that did not solve it. Not to mention there was a lot of lag in there tonight (Blade's Edge US)
Feb 17th 2009 6:59PM The 1,1,2,1,1,2....Oh noes Malygos has his eye fixed on me, activate flame shield, back to 1,1,2,1,1,2.....is one of the BIGGEST reasons I hate vehicle combat.
I hear people state that they like vehicle combat because you need to have skill and cannot just macro or basically run a rotation with it. What would you call the Malygos fight? Not sure where you are avoiding a basic rotation be it 1,1,2 or 1,1,1,2.
Vehicle combat in it's current state is broken in my opinion. There is plenty of room for improving on it, and there are ways that it can become much more fun. Perhaps blizz should take a look at some of the other games out there that incorporate vehicle combat.
Personally, I say bring the vehicles on only if the UI works right (I really do not care what others have to say, there is enough evidence to say it does not work right), and that there is more to it then 1,1,2,1,1,2 and so on.
Jan 24th 2009 8:23AM I tend to like how my guild runs 25 mans. We tend to have 4 tanks (2 Tankadins and 2 Warriors) for most raids, and our 4 core tanks are fairly equal in gearing right now. We try to let each of our tanks rotate between MT and OT roles. I mean really, trash is all AoE right now anyways, so all that matters are the bosses. When it comes to that we try to play to the strengths of each tank/class. 4 horseman we have the tankadins in the back tanking the non moving horseman (they just sit there and heal themselves and switching spots). We had the warrior tanks tanking the two horseman in the front, because honestly, up until 3.0.8 paladin taunting just did not work for that fight. In other fights, we use the tankadins to tank the boss.
In the end, we all tend to be happy with things as they are. The real issue is with the change of DPS'rs wanting to tank suddenly. We get into an issue with this, do we give the DPS'rs a chance to tank and show their abilities? Who do we choose first, the proven long time tank, or the guy that wants to try it? The odd thing is that none of our tanks want to switch to DPS or Heals, they are happy tanking....not sure why so many people want to defect to it though.
Nov 11th 2008 10:53PM I would bitch at my mechanic if he told me my car would be fixed by 5pm, only for me to show up and him say I need one more hour, only to wait, and what is this? He needs one more hour.
I wish I could be like this in my job. Yeah, I will have that prescription sent over to the pharmacy by 5pm. Oh, well I was busy writing other scripts, sorry, you really did not need that mifepristone today anyways......
That would go over like a fart in church.
