May 22nd 2010 1:30AM "If a balance druid does not have any mana, then they have no means of getting mana back."
This isn't true. A balance druid CAN innervate themselves... while it isn't tons of mana it means that there is a way for a balance druid to get mana back... instead of "they have no means".
Jul 13th 2009 7:01PM It is called the 'cap' because once you hit 540 defense, you get diminishing returns, which means each point of defense past 540 doesn't do as much as another stat would.
Also, as a prot pally... Strength is not only a threat generating stat, it helps with your avoidance because it adds to your block value giving you more mitigation. So dodge and defense, yes but once you're at the soft defense cap, other stats are more valuable - ie. stam, strength, dodge, parry, block vs. diminishing returns from more defense.
Jul 8th 2009 7:19PM IP has a chance on each strike to do 430 damage... AP has a 50% on each strike to do 218-280 damage... Not sure where you 350 came from on IP... o.O
Jul 8th 2009 5:40PM Sorry for the double post, it never posted the first time and then all of a sudden did...
Jul 8th 2009 5:38PM "If I have to taunt twice within a few seconds..." /agree
I hardly ever use growl unless I absolutely need to get aggro back. Normally an actually attack will solve that problem unless the dps is stupid and refuses to target another mob instead of continuously building aggro on the mob coming at them. If I need taunt to be a smaller cooldown, I'm obviously doing something wrong... so a decrease to taunts for all the tanking set bonuses? bleh... I'd rather have something more useful, like a buff to a main tanking ability for better threat building.
Jul 8th 2009 5:31PM /agree... if you're having to taunt that many times back to back, something is definitely wrong with your tanking or your group. I hardly ever use growl unless I absolutely need to or it's a boss that requires two tanks to taunt back and forth. Decreased taunt by 2 seconds as a set bonus pretty much blows...

This doesn't 'lock' you into having to have a lvl 80 toon. All that is required is 1k gold (unless you have a faction discount applied) and being able to get to Dal. My lvl 1 banker could get a port to Dal and purchase the book. The tooltip doesn't say "purchasable by level 80s only".
Jun 29th 2009 11:10PM My favorite is how they changed the mechanics of Pally tanking yet there's still tons of plate gear drops/quest rewards for the old Pally tanking mechnics in lower levels. i.e Stam, intel, spell, def
