Feb 8th 2011 10:26AM fully agree with Lipstick. I made my acct and password both items that I have to look at to type in, using familar words is just gonna get you hacked.
Feb 8th 2011 10:17AM same thing here, was on in the wee hours of the morning doing my tourney dallies, saw my brother log on. looked over at his PC and went "no way". Luckly I had all his info with me , so logged on to the blizz site changed both his account name and password but the damage was done his personal guild was wiped out and disbanded, lose of all his gear. Blizz was nice and he got their "care package" it helped but still after that both of us got the keyfob.
Jan 30th 2011 1:52PM the good the bad and the ugly, we've all had it, the other day I qued in as tank and got a group of guildies from the scryer server, dont remember the guild name but their healer "Zanyx" i think was great, their org tank had left after needing a drop and i thought Oh great this is gonna hurt but they were really great. ended up tanking for a couple more and really had a great time, just wish blizz would let us friend and que with peeps we meet like this.the best part was turning their rogue into a bunny several times. the funny part was when the rogue "Ana" pooped a egg. ever see a bunny sap a mob? i was laughing so hard i almost peed myself. Dec 4th 2010 7:17AM the 3 steps of avoiding accounts getting hacked.
1. make a unique battle.net acct, yes you can change it. use numbers and letters, but dont spell words. make it something you HAVE to look at to type in.
2. Get the cutey Core Hound puppy. its super cute and comes with a Free authenticator.
3. save the offical blizz web site in your favs, if you ever recieve some email from BLIZZ, use the link in your Favs (you know its safe, you put it there) and remember kids don"t buy gold. Gold Sellers, Powerlvling is "you" giving your account info and personal info to the hackers.
Nov 9th 2010 8:44PM Blizz should include the authenticator with Vanilla wow
Oct 7th 2010 10:55AM plus another $80,000,000 for the new 1 million accounts/subcribers
