Jun 5th 2009 11:30AM Along these lines - I was killing a bunch of skinnables in Nagrand (for the nesingwary questline)and ran out of bag space so i had to leave a piece of fur on things here and there. I actually had someone whisper me to tell me to get the stuff off of dead animals so they could skin it.
I did clear my bags out at the next town i came to, but i know at the time they asked me that I was thinking--- "Ok...WTF?!?! I'm gonna clear out my bag space so you can make money? Go kill your own stuff." Lol.
Jun 3rd 2009 10:59AM Heres a few ideas:
1) Cross faction transfer - for example, transfer Alliance character over to the Horde side (even if it means turning him/her into a different race).
2) NPC - "Mercenary for hire" (for getting those group quests done that you just can't do yourself but can't find a group for) Gives you an item that would summon a henchman for 10 minutes or so that is the same level as you (same controls as minion or pet) and costs 5 gold or so.
3) Bulletin Board for LFW postings in cities (maybe a small charge to advertise for 24/48 hour timeframe) and maybe put up a solo daily and group daily on the bulletin boards that would maybe give you a rep token for faction of your choice.
**and as for the "instance based" housing/guild halls. The guild hall might be ok as long as I could hang my stuffed sharks head on the wall that I got from my fishing daily. But, realistically, I could see the message - "Additional guild halls cannot be launched..please try again later". Hehehe
Jun 2nd 2009 3:19PM We were in shadowmoon Valley at the Alter of Sha'tar and my friend wasn't friendly with them yet. She drank a sulfuron slammer too close to one of the guards and they killed her on the spot. It took a couple minutes to figure out what happened but I still get a laugh just thinking about it. Good stuff!!
May 18th 2009 3:56PM It sounds like it's time to recruit for the guild when stuff like that happens and allow some diversity to occur (i.e. not all college age people).
I think when people get too serious and close down a guild that still has potential especially one with alot of tabs (lotsa $$) that's a waste of everyones time and money.
People will eventually come back from their RL obligations and want to devote their time once again so it's worth the wait. Also other guilds are probably going through the same thing so why not team up with them (not necessarily merge).
Yep..people have RL obligations and/or maybe want to take a break from the game but why penalize the rest of the people in the guild for your impatience?
May 13th 2009 2:44PM I have a couple DK's just sitting on my account. One of them is on a realm where i had a friend. I did get their skills up and got them both to level 63 and am back to my main (hunter). I got disinterested real fast when i saw how many there were running around in comparison to the other classes. I think i would pick up on them again at some point i'm just waiting for the newness of the class to wear off.
I think if they had made a few racial restrictions on the DK class there would be a whole lot less of them. I saw soooo many gnome-girl, pink-ponytailed with little "cutsie" name DK's running around.. somehow i just knew that was going to happen. You just can't be evil with pink-ponytails..c'mon.
Next...we need to make up the "Bard" class and plug in the "Guitar hero" guitar into the USB. Now, that might be interesting..lol.
Apr 28th 2009 9:36AM Just a few ideas:
Soulstones..have them stack (be nice to have the extra bag space). Yep..we've heard this one before...i'm sure.
Clothing..some kind of "closet" slot on our characters (like the key slots) so they don't take up space in our banks.
And perhaps an instance where horde and alliance could team up against a common enemy. (loot would automatically be set for need/greed..and a little robot could follow along and translate the languages so they could understand each other for the duration of the battle). **Ok..this last one is a bit of a stretch..but it might be fun.
Apr 24th 2009 8:52AM Temple of storms...why does it have to be so tall? Especially when you can't afford epic flying...lol. Takes about 10 minutes to fly up to the top of it. Ugh...
My friend has a mechano-choppa and we jump off the top of it sometimes...long way down..but it's fun. Or you can featherfall from the top of it and end up near K3. Fun times.
Apr 17th 2009 9:55AM Oh..the cave you pictured reminds me of "Dadanga" my favorite kodo (right outside the cave). I liked Tanaris too..especially the pirate part to the east coast. I want to build a resort there and strap some serving trays onto the turtles backs so they can roam around and serve "mini-umbrella" decorated drinks.
I do like booty bay too, except when those stupid people run around killing everything (blizzard-approved griefing) for the purpose of getting the "bloodsail admiral" title..grrrr.
Apr 16th 2009 11:53AM I haven't even been able to get into an instance/raid (that didn't lock up or freeze) since the patch. So.. i guess the big grats would be on not locking up or getting hearthed back to Org and acually completing a raid completed.
So..when you guys are bored and have this on farm in a couple weeks you wanna run my lowbie thru RFK? lol...
