En Masse 'communicating directly with retailers' over TERA pre-order blunders {Massively}

Feb 7th 2012 10:01AM @tentimes
The game lunched in other countries despite NCsoft trying to take legal action against BlueHole Studios. The chances of them stopping it here are extremely remote.

The problem in this case seems to be Atari. Each retailer is supposed to offer a different version of a mount for the CE pre-order, those details were supposed to be worked out between the retailers and the publisher. EME is trying to step in and work directly with the retailers to get the CE into their databases, as well as beta codes.

TERA pre-orders available, closed beta access included {Massively}

Feb 2nd 2012 12:50PM @Masync9

Most likely for digital version you'll be charged upon ordering. If you want to wait to be charged until the boxed version ships, try one of the vendors handling the release.

Amazon, BestBuy, Walmart, GameStop, and Target are all going to sell the pre-order. All of them seem to have the standard version available for order, have not seen any of them yet listing the Collector's edition. I'm wondering if each vendor will offer something different as they did with the Rift release.

The OverAchiever: The worst (maybe) holiday achievements {WoW}

Jan 27th 2012 9:10AM I'm not happy about Dawnstrider the Elder in Burning Steppes(flame crest) being near level 85 guards due to the flight master. I achieved that stone in the past on characters that were level appropriate for the zone, and now it seems to be a guaranteed death. There is even another NPC that has a quest icon right next to the(opposite faction, for me) flight master! How the heck is that supposed to work?

So many holidays are designed and forgotten despite major changes in the game world. Such as Magni and Cairne being required for a quest turn in. I realize teams are working hard to finish new content, even to the point of skipping Blizzcon, but surely someone is available to at least glance over old content now and then and make sure the cog wheels are still turning.

Star Wars: The Old Republic goes dark in preparation for launch {Massively}

Dec 19th 2011 11:42PM I put in my preorder just before going to work, good thing I did as the entire network is offline for launch. Anxious to see how the crystal affects the colors of blasters and sabers.

12 Days of Winter Veil Giveaway: Dragon Kite from {WoW}

Dec 18th 2011 9:18PM up to the atmosphere, up where the air is clear, oh let's a kite!

Aiding the Alliance: The idle Varian Wrynn {WoW}

Dec 8th 2011 2:11PM With his split personality and unceasing rage, I wish Blizzard would simply give Varian the violent end he wishes for since he cannot resolve the conflicts within himself(or the ones he has with family). At the present point in the game, and with even more faction conflict to arise in the future, the Alliance needs someone at the forefront with clear resolve and direction. A leader divided within himself cannot rally a directionless faction whose opponents grow more organized and aggressive each day.

The Horde replaced it's diplomatic leader with a real war chief. The last time I saw Varian willing to get his hands dirty was in the Ulduar cinematic. Azeroth isn't the school playground, yet Varian seems like the kid who slings hollow threats at others "You think you can take me?! Oh ya?! You and what army?!" Bolvar fought dragons in the throne room, Varian was almost killed by ONE faceless one. For someone who is supposed to be a badass hardened pit fighter, Varian sure does seem like a flimsy paper doll.

Joanna Blueheart(even though her camp contains Rebecca Blackman) is someone I could see as a military leader, as well as John Keeshan(despite him being Rambo I had fun fighting along side him).

Alliance players are tired of grasping at straws. We don't seem to have an official war cry or an official leader. Yet we are suppose to march off to war in the near future.

Breakfast Topic: What starting zone bores you? {WoW}

Oct 29th 2011 1:16PM I found the Worgen zone to be amazing the first time, and only the first time.
Elywnn forest feels exactly like 100 other RPG games featuring humans.
I personally liked Teldrassil pre-Cata as my first character was a Nelf.
Durotar................ugh. Despite that Trolls rock.
Forsaken starting area was suitably creepy and now has better story lines after Cata release.
Silvermoon Forest was incredible, so bright and colorful, with dreamy music. When I reached Ghostlands, my desire to continue faltered due to the gloominess of the zone and verbal assaults from other players who disliked Blood Elves.
Azuremyst Isle is something I really loved long ago, especially the music. The grey-green dominating color is too much for me to handle for more than a short time, I go there to solo Putting out the Fires during Hallows End when the other zones are deserted. Bloodmyst Isle I avoid as much as possible, the red makes me want to color shift my monitor.

BlizzCon 2011: Day two round-up {WoW}

Oct 23rd 2011 1:37PM The Mylune costume - so many huggable plush animals!

The Queue: Everyone's sleeping ... {WoW}

Oct 23rd 2011 11:22AM Snout in my Stormstout "Bartender, can I get a new mug?!" (snout=slang for cigarette)
Stormstout up my snout "I tilted the mug a bit too far."

FALCON PUNCH!!! - Totally fruity and refreshing

The Ugly Mug - It's taken a beating but can still fill up on ale.

Just some half awake ideas for class column names and random babble, sorry if nothing makes sense.

Breakfast Topic: Which part of "Mists of Pandaria" has you most excited? {WoW}

Oct 22nd 2011 10:07AM Gnome Monk. Now I can kick others in the shins using class skills.

New continent looks great, mix of Outland trees and new buildings, and the zones seem bright, nice change from war ravaged landscapes.
