Breakfast Topic: Missing Professions? {WoW}

Jul 17th 2009 12:28PM I'd really like to be able to have a 3rd profession.... but i'm not sure that would be good for the economy. Maybe, maybe not. I'm still pretty self-supporting with my toons professions - i have several toons for the exact purpose of being able to get various types of mats, so i hardly ~ever~ buy mats on the AH. I will get them myself, or just do without. I always find the prices ludicrous, especially in summertime (why do they go up in summer?). Having a 3rd profession would help alleviate this, but a lot of people simply buy the stuff instead.

I think that market would shrink a lot with a 3rd prof., and many would get a serious dent in their income.

Breakfast topic: When Blizzard listens {WoW}

Jun 30th 2009 11:45AM I had heard of this "Hogger" when i started, and avoided it until well past the proper level. I never got killed by Hogger, so i've got a hole in my WoW culture. Getting killed by him now isn't the same, even with a new toon.

But i did get a similar shock with...... Bellygrub. Ohhhhh Bellygrub, darn that pig..... and it ~still~ gets me with my "at level" toons. But i win more 1st encounters, now. But Bellygrub just doesn't have that same... how to say... "mythical aura" as Hogger.

And that Fizzik guy in Durotar.... yeah. Horde version of the Hogger encounter.

That's a link to Inscriber Saalyn . It's actually in the game.

Breakfast Topic: Favorite in-game settlement {WoW}

Jun 21st 2009 2:08PM Kharanos. The inn is just cozy against the cold, a fireplace in every room - so you can cook your stuff easily. (Of course, now it's not so much an issue, since you don't need wood and tinder, which i ~never~ carried on me - that's 2 slots!)

I like the Dwarven inns in general, except the one in Wildhammer Keep. Same design, but too dark, and hearing a Dwarf cry every so often just.... uncozies it further.

Telredor is also a good place in Outlands, and in Northrend.... i kinda like Valiance Keep, and Westguard Keep.

Patch 3.2 gives Wintergrasp a queue {WoW}

Jun 20th 2009 1:13PM Well dang.

Right now, i'm not liking this, really. The only bright spot i can see is, as one player mentioned above:
"it IS one way to deal with an exploit we see a lot on our server where players log out just before the battle concludes with full rank then log back in just as the battle begins and start popping out siege engines."

I'll have to wait until i actually see how it works to pass final judgement - it may actually be not as bad as it sounds. But right now, i'm feeling a bit :( about this.

Oh well.

Breakfast Topic: If you could add one new feature {WoW}

Jun 3rd 2009 12:23PM "Ability to start a character at a higher level than 1 (like Death Knights)"

This. BUT.... i think you should have to have at least 1 toon of that particular class 1st, to unlock this. IE: you can't start a lvl 50 mage unless you already leveled a mage to 50 or so.

Lichborne: Tradeskills for Death Knights {WoW}

Apr 6th 2009 1:14PM "It would be good if blizz could give them something like 300 at 2 professions, just to keep the balance"

You're joking, right?

I'll assume you are, but to those that actually think this:
Death Knights have the easiest time to level trades because they start out in the open at level fifty..... 58, 59, depending on player. A head start would be....

Bat mounts? Blizzard, please make it so. {WoW}

Feb 10th 2009 2:06PM For death knights, i would like an improvement - or at least an optional flying mount. This 'dinosaur museum' look just doesn't cut it for me.

What would i like it to resemble? Picture this: The same animal - a gryphon - but: Like the deathcharger, it is still all fleshed (and feathered) up, but all black. It has Black armor at the usual places, glowing blue eyes, and ice-flames on its paws/talons.

Can you see your deathknight flying on one of these now? And every once in a while, when it lets out a rawr, it belches out a whitish-blue flame.

I would definately pay the 900 gold for that mount, hands down.

Shifting Perspectives: Let my kitties go! {WoW}

Nov 12th 2008 11:55AM You hate the Tauren cat form? :-) Either i'm in good company, or we're both nuts. Or maybe both..... But that....... "face". By gosh it's a monkey face! It's a lion with a monkey's face! What abberation begot this, i do not what to know, but for the love of all the is holy and unholy.... and for the sake of all Taurens out there.... Blizz: please put a cat face on them. And the horns? Are they necessary? No? Delete them. Yes? Shrink them. Something.

I always laugh inside when i see a monkey-face Tauren cat romping about. The Nelf cat form looks a tad goofy, but it's still acceptable. The Taurens... they got short-changed as bad as the Belfs did with their racial mount. For the gals, fine, but for the guys.... the 'foofy bird' just does not look 'guy'. Give them a dragon or a big red lynx mount. But i'm straying off-topic...
