Mar 27th 2012 1:50PM This isn't relevant to 10-man raids.
It's only for LFR groups, which are 25-person raids. And world bosses, which are whatever-the-heck-size-who-knows.
Mar 26th 2012 11:56AM Without flying mounts, I think we'll all have a case of that Pandiarrhea.
Because we'll be running everywhere.
Mar 22nd 2012 2:05PM Do they have the monk class enabled for more than just Pandaren in the beta? So that we could try out leveling a monk all the way from level 1?
Mar 16th 2012 1:34PM Unless I've read it completely wrong, I don't believe Blizzard will ever let you retrieve any money from your Blizzard wallet.
Thus, it might exist in the Blizzard-space, but you never actually earn any real money. Therefore, no taxes. For all intents and purposes, the "real money" auction house uses money that doesn't actually exist.
When you buy into the Blizzard wallet, you are effectively gifting them the money in exchange for a proxy currency. It is not a real asset. If Blizzard had to shut down the server, they would owe you nothing.
Feb 15th 2012 4:22PM I keep wondering if the writing behind Sylvanas is borrowing from history. Each time she comes more into the story, she reminds me of the ruthless revolutionary-to-dictator leaders that other countries have had.
People who begin as heroes, betrayed by a greater evil, lead their peers to revolt and take power... and in turn, that power turns the once-heroes into evil leaders.
But because of that early devotion, it's hard for the followers to completely turn against their leaders. And it's similarly hard for the leader's allies to shun them.
Zimbabwe is a perfect example of this; Robert Mugabe was a hero who is now a monster, and his allies in South Africa have yet to disown him... even though it's clear that they should. Fidel Castro has a number of these same qualities as well.
Sylvanas is certainly not a "good" character, but calling her "evil" like any other villain seems to miss the point. She's the type of evil that's more difficult to extract than Deathwing. You can't just kill her; you have to end the cycle that brings blind devotion to her.
Though Blizzard may eventually turn her into the "big bad" of some expansion, I have a feeling she will remain faction leader for some time.

I'd like to set up a team to do Burning Crusade raids with other like-minded level 70 characters. Does your site have a means to declare certain raiding categories (like by-level)?
Jan 27th 2012 1:05PM I'd really prefer the ability to transmog the weapon enchant and pick a different graphic effect instead of just turning it off.
Jan 17th 2012 12:56PM Right now, I imagine there are several servers that have highly unbalanced populations, whether Horde or Alliance. That's to be expected, as some realms develop organically to attract a different crowd than others.
Pre-TBC, however, if you were there to see at the grander census of the players via Warcraft Realms, we were seeing almost 2 Alliance to 1 Horde. And that was across the board.
It really was bad, and it made for some particularly strange PVP experiences, particularly as the Battlegroup system hadn't come to fruition yet. On my realm, lower-level battlegrounds had long queues for Alliance players and short waits for Horde... but the battleground frequently fielded too few players Hordeside to have a proper battle (or wasn't able to fill slots from dropouts).
Jan 17th 2012 11:07AM I very much hope high elves aren't given to the alliance. I'm sure it would be great storywise and RP-wise, but what many people seem to forget is the purpose of Blood Elves in the Horde:
Anyone who played vanilla can probably remember the severe, worldwide population imbalance between horde and alliance. Very few servers were horde-centric. We needed the pretty.
Now, there is still population imbalance, but it varies widely from server to server. The Blood Elves were a great help to bringing more players hordeside.
Blood Elves brought us that. Please don't share it with the Alliance.
