Breakfast Topic: Has your opinion about the pandaren changed? {WoW}

Mar 26th 2012 2:28PM I still don't like the pandas they're way too Disney for me. No surprise though as Blizzard drinks the Disney kool-aid. The whole Pandaren concept is just a another step in the Disney marketing direction that Blizzard has been heading in since joining Activision. I can already see the G rated Warcraft movie drowning in pandaren merchandise. Soon Blizzard will be pumping out bad pandaren movie sequels and plush pandaren children toys... Chaching$$$

Ghostcrawler explains stat changes in Mists of Pandaria {WoW}

Mar 2nd 2012 1:04PM @Hob,

"Some customers confused by name 'hamburger' - assumed it would be filled with ham. Let's make hamburgers an all ham-sandwich. Sandwiches with fried beef patties now called 'beefburgers'. Raise price of beefburgers to compensate for adding hamburgers to menu."

This still has me weezing from laughter 20mins after I read it. I actually came back to read it again and thank you for making my Friday even better!
Thanks Bud ..... Hambeefburger LMAO!

Scattered Shots: Hunter pet changes -- QQ or HTFU? {WoW}

Jul 28th 2011 7:50PM
I play Demo Lock, Unholy DK, & BM hunter (well SV now as BM is totally broken as of 4.2) because I love the utility aspect of all the pet dedicated classes. I can't imagine why the new stances were added or whom they were supposed to help but I think the 4.2 changes are absolute garbage. Combine the new stances with the pre-existing pet bugs and it makes me want to ragequit my pet classes entirely.

A few examples of problems I have had since 4.2 are:

I always keep my pet on assist during AoE and in my PvE experience it's a dps loss to have my pet waste time running back and forth to me every mob death in AoE situations.

I now have problems with most of my petattack macros that have never been a problem before. I think the macro problem has to do with more than one ability like Axe Toss and Legion Strike combined with the /petattack command. One ability in pet macros seems fine but two abilities and something goes wrong when it didn't before 4.2.

Master's Call. My pet will stand by my side for a second or 2 after I use Master's call on myself before continuing to attack my target.

I have lost utility with pet/mob placement in off-tanking situations when you need to keep mobs or bosses separated or just keep a healer free of attacks in dungeons. I send my pet after the mob attacking the healer only to have the pet go back to my focused tank target again and again.

I can no longer pre-trap explosive/ice traps and misdirect mobs to my pet (who is standing on the traps) as my pet will now leave (even if I use the stand here command) and attack anything I dps leaving my traps behind and worthless. Now, I have to put him on passive, place traps, Misdirect mobs, then put him on assist and he will still run to me before he eventually attacks any of the mobs attacking him. Yes, there are many ways to kite mobs to your traps while farming but the most efficient means is no longer manageable with the 4.2 pet stance changes.

PvP: Oh how I love getting cc'd with fear, blind, polymorph, traps and having my pet just stand or run there next to me stupidly while in assist stance.

With the removal of the Aggressive stance, pet classes lost very important utility against stealth classes, especially hunters with track stealth or flares up. Pets used to be great at outing stealth and intervening openers against stealth but now they do nothing to help or "Assist".

These are just a few bugs or problems I have with the new pet stances. It seems I discover more every time I log in. I encourage Pet classes to please list any 4.2 problems you have noticed and hopefully they will get fixed or changed back to the stances that have worked fine since BC.

I know I'm not the only BM hunter to notice the poor behavior of pets in the 4.2 BM spec:

Breakfast Topic: Patch frequency and you {WoW}

Jun 9th 2011 1:15PM I think Blizzard should always include 5man dungeons with every patch release. Nerfing the current raids and calling them "casual friendly" is not going to entice anyone who hasn't seen the current raid content to want to see it now just because it's easier. People who like to raid will be in Firelands not BoT. Hell, it's almost impossible to get a 10m pug together now 7 months after release (with everything is on farm) for a simple BH loot pinata... So 4.2 really means casuals get a new quest hub for the next 6 months. Well, I feel sad for the poor casuals.

Breakfast Topic: Does WoW ever creep you out? {WoW}

May 19th 2011 12:39PM Stratholme level 40ish (i think) dungeon is the creepiest place in wow. I never ran the dungeon in original wow and loved the Culling of Stratholme in Wolk. Recently, I wandered to Eastern Plaguelands and strolled in to check it out never having seen it before. Brrrr, gave me the chills. The dead red sky, eerie music, everything is dead and decaying, and now knowing what it used to look like from Wrath... All it needed was a chainsaw sound and I would have wet myself. Check it out if you haven't been it's worth it. Blizz should add some Halloween content in that joint for sure.

Breakfast Topic: The curious phenomenon of "reverse burnout" {WoW}

May 10th 2011 1:01PM Cataclysm has made raiding inaccessible to many small guilds and solo players. Most of my family (wife, two brothers, my 2 sons & daughter,) all raided regularly near the end of BC and throughout Wolk but have not been able to raid at all in Cata. We enjoyed the heroics (far too many times) and new content but eventually decided to close our accounts until raiding is made more available. We want to raid and experience the endgame content and can't because pugs are not a priority for Blizzard anymore.

Since March we have been playing Rift and enjoying the newness of a familiar fantasy themed mmo. No, we are not raiding in Rift yet, but we are having fun together and we don't have the frustration of competing for a raid spot in a guild we don't want to join. Rift is very very pug friendly and encourages pug style game play almost continuously as we level together.

Apr 15th 2011 12:35PM I have learned how to maximize a very limited amount of space in my mom's 10'x12' basement: 16 lcd's, 4pc's, 2 laptops, coffeemaker, microwave, TV, DVD, fridge, minibar, recliner/bed, space heater/toaster, japanese live-doll, and a cornerdesk. Winning!!!

WoW Rookie: How to win Tol Barad {WoW}

Mar 31st 2011 7:04PM Good article but I'm still hoping Blizzard will introduce some new world style pvp. In my opinion TB is a mindless rollerskating rink of a bg that discourages any small group (1v1or 2v2) battles that do happen in all the other successful fun bg's. It makes me sad to think that I'll have to endure this BG for this entire expansion if I want access to BH. Most of the time I just skip it.

Scattered Shots: The right hunter spec for the job {WoW}
