May 16th 2011 8:07PM "However, something tells me we may not have seen the last of Vanessa VanCleef. The Defias Brotherhood doesn't go down so easily."
Shenanigans? In my tournament? It's more likely than you think.
May 16th 2011 8:03PM If they were to add a tanking/healing role to the pure classes, mages and warlocks would have to be given the healing specs, because they are the only ones to use mana.
I could see Arcane modified into a healing spec, using pure magic and possibly even time shenanigans to prevent and restore magic. Warlocks wouldn't make as much sense, as I wouldn't want to be healed by either *affliction* or *destruction* and I'm not sure how demonology could be modified to heal.
Rogues and hunters could tank, and already can to some extent. Combat and Beast Mastery (ie Rexxar) are even good fits thematically, but would have issues converting even so- how would a rogue take damage? Would they end up a cooldown class (see Wrath launch DK)? Would the hunter tank, or the pet?
However, none of this matters, because I wouldn't want this anyway, and in any case I'm pretty certain that they wouldn't do something this drastic.
May 11th 2011 12:43AM "The Druids of the Pack were a *totemic* sect of druids"
May 9th 2011 1:33PM Because the Naga (who were also changed/empowered by the Old Gods), are waging war with Neptulon over the domain of water. Neptulon, as can be expected, does not like this.
Besides, the Old Gods like chaos. They created the Elemental Lords to have them fight each other. I'm sure they wouldn't mind a little bit of infighting between the Naga and the water elementals.
May 9th 2011 1:22PM An interesting note about the four "elements" is that although we have since found out they are not true elements, they *are* different phases of matter- solid, liquid, and gas. Normal flame isn't hot enough to be plasma (it's simply glowing due to heat), but lightning is.
May 9th 2011 12:10AM The fact the Scythe is made from Goldrinn's Fang (and a staff embued with Elune's power), is completely awesome. It makes so much sense, where before I was wondering why Night Elves would have a scythe at all, especially one with Elune's name.
May 9th 2011 12:07AM The Gilneans got bitten when Arugal was researching for a way to combat the Scourge. He turned to the Book of Ur, written by a Dalaran mage who had found a monstrous race in a "different world."
Arugal found out how to summon these creatures, and it worked well to fight off the Scourge, but then the beasts turned on the Gilnean people and bit them, as they were no longer calmed by the tree. This is where the Gilnean Worgen come from.
May 8th 2011 10:38PM I agree with Salhet. A tol'vir who's a misfit as a warrior, but with some ingenuity proves to be a better warrior than all of them... just not on the front lines.
May 8th 2011 1:51PM Does this remind anyone else of Gargoyles? Blackmoore totally looks like Xanatos, and if you gave Thrall wings and he could totally be Goliath.
May 5th 2011 4:16AM The black one reminds me of Blair from Soul Eater.
