Apr 4th 2012 11:44AM In Mists, Valor will be used to upgrade a specific set of gear, such as the new Justice Point gear. VP will not upgrade anything and everything. Heirlooms will not be upgadeable.

Apr 4th 2012 10:49AM Ha! My husband and I have said the same thing about Up. The beginning of the latest Star Trek movie has a similar reputation.
Apr 3rd 2012 6:58PM "I bet you can't keep the men off of you" sounds like the girl gets lots of physical attention, particularly of the unwanted kind. It sounds like, "I bet the men are always making the moves on you, whether you want it or not!" The key words here are "can't keep the men off".
"I bet you're all the rage with the ladies!" sounds like the guy is popular. There's no implication of those ladies making the moves on the guy. It might as well say, "I bet the ladies really like you!"
I am baffled at how this makes me "hypersensitive."
Apr 3rd 2012 6:33PM A, you are awesome for posting your thoughts on the official forum. While negative responses are sadly inevitable, I hope (and believe!) it will prompt people, both devs and players, to stop and think. Thank you for standing up to speak out!
Many of the responses here have me shaking my head. I thought the W.I. readership was better than this. It's eye-opening and disheartening to see fellow commenters whom I've considered peers to be so very dismissive of the matter at hand.
I am very glad that this issue was raised here (thank you, Josh). I hope that, despite the dismissiveness, people will become aware that harassment is real, even if it doesn't happen to them or people they know.
You have helped.
Apr 3rd 2012 4:52PM Great post!!! Judging by how many female pandaren I see running around the Wandering Isle in beta videos, more than a few testers will notice and (hopefully) say something about the Ji's lecherous comments.
While there's lots of room for improvement with how Blizzard depicts female characters, I am relieved that WoW is not as bad as other games.

Apr 3rd 2012 4:43PM Sure, the writer may have had good intentions, but he needs to be informed that a line like, “I bet you can't keep the men off of you!” is REALLY CREEPY. It smacks of no consent.
If the writer wants to compliment the female character for her looks, he could just say the same thing as what the male characters got, as Josh said in the article, altered for heteronormativity I suppose.
Apr 3rd 2012 3:42PM For real. With few exceptions, I LOVE how Disc has been in Cata. Atonement healing is such fun, as was getting the hang of how to change my strategy depending on whether I was in a 5-man or a raid.
Despite being main-spec Holy for BC and Wrath, I did not like Holy in Cata because I never got used to Chakra. Admittedly, I didn't try very hard because my priest is just an alt, but changes like these are just going to make me play that class even less.
Apr 3rd 2012 12:55PM I can't access WoWHead here at work, but here's what I know:
Healing should use the Intellect staff.
DPS should dual-wield the Agility sword and/or Agility mace.
Tanking should use the Agility staff, which is not yet on live-servers but has been seen on the beta.
Gearing monks will be very similar (but not quite the same) as gearing druids.
Apr 3rd 2012 12:16PM Har-har. My guess is that the PC models are there for reference, so that the landscape can be scaled correctly.
