Cataclysm screenshot of the day {WoW}

Jun 28th 2010 11:22PM No, it's the new Horde architecture they're using for all the buildings, just like the ones in Northrend. The pic seems to be taken with the Alliance camp behind the screen.

Blizzard releases Patch 3.3.5 Ruby Sanctum storyline {WoW}

Jun 22nd 2010 3:59PM Maintenance extended until 6PM EST. FML. It doesn't matter anyway; Ruby Sanctum won't be available until the patch hits all regions, and the kinks are worked out of it, Real ID, and Battle.net functions.

The Queue: The Queue needs you! {WoW}

Jun 22nd 2010 2:23PM Like the other expansions, 4.0 will include the pre-events and all the new features. You won't be able to see the new changes in the world or to play Worgen and Goblins, until launch day.

Jun 22nd 2010 2:09PM I've always said, we could see release of Cataclysm 2-3 months after the beta starts. I want to believe that will start within the next 3 weeks.

The other point I have, is that I am seriously thinking they won't release it before Blizzcon, or else they will have nothing else to show at the event. This means it could be a November release just like WOTLK.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm targeted for a 2010 release date {WoW}

Aug 23rd 2009 1:25PM I believe there's no doubt that it will release in Q1. They'd be fools not too. D3 will be out this year, in order to take the place of Cataclysm, and SC2 will probably be next fall. They don't seem to want to have games out within 3 months of each other. We'll get 3.2.2 in November, and 3.3 as a Christmas present. Then we'll get Catacylsm in Spring 2010, just in time for spring break.

I myself forgot that WOLTK was announced at Blizzcon 2007, but there wasn't complete details until last year. They've been hard at work on Catacylsm since about a month before WOTLK launched last year. They want expansions out every 12-16 months, and I don't see that changing. And since they're already much farther ahead than we probably think, judging from the trailers, it's impossible that it will be this time or winter of 2010 that it will be released.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm leaked by MMO-Champion {WoW}

Aug 14th 2009 10:12PM I don't listen to anything Blizzard says anymore. They've said countless times there wouldn't be a PVP to PVE transfer, there wouldn't be a faction change tool, there wouldn't be flying mounts in Azeroth...and now all of this is happening. I don't subscribe to lore, I don't claim to be an expert in the background and story of Warcraft, and I've played the game just for fun.

So I do believe that it is impossible for all of this to be wrong. At least half must be true, because it is NOT a coincidence that Baine Bloodhoof disappears and Ony returns in 3.2.2. How many times has Boubille been wrong? Not very many, because all of this is IN the game files. The halloween masks were discovered and people claimed they are likely fake and not going to be included in game, but now they've been confirmed.

Somehow people forget that game developments take a very long time, and sequels or expansions start before the previous game/expansion was released, so for we all know, they're already more than halfway through development with Cataclysm and they've been able to change Azeroth.

I believe at least half of this will be confirmed at Blizzcon.
