WoWMatrix responds to Curse and WoW Interface {WoW}

>I am talking about the fee curse charges for their update mod thing.

What about it? It's a convenience to allow folks to donate money, yet still get value back.

lol no its not!
the fee curse charges goes into their pockets with a small amount being skimmed off for the creators.

when you update an add on with WM a window pops up prompting you to donate directly to the author.

two completely different things im sure you'll agree.

May 7th 2009 10:17AM wobin seems to have been able to articulate his points in a very level headed way unlike the others who just seem to want to ram their 'facts' down our throats and insult us.
the comments of most of these ppl and jonathon with his recent comments have made me certain in my mind that in no way whatsoever do i want anything to do with curse or their client.
thanks for the help :)

May 7th 2009 9:55AM @ Jonathon,
Thanks for proving my point to the letter in my previous post :)

"We're right and the rest of you are dumb scum" kinda sums up the wowui/curse thoughts on anyone who dares not use there 'product' or say anything negative about it.
Keep em coming youre doing a hell of a job!

you have been probably the only person that has not come across with the kind of comments mentioned in my post.
apologies for omitting that.

May 7th 2009 4:44AM i used to use WM and loved it, but, when all the hoohah started and they got shut off i quietly but begrudgingly moved across to the curse downloader the day before they went 'premium'. now, i wasnt happy about the premium part but, hey, im in it for the convenience. so, i stuck with it ( and still use it at the moment.

the thing that is really sticking out for me at the moment is that during this argument all of the curse/wowui employees/partners/fanboys are being so agressive and at times obnoxious in there defence. all they seem concerned about is vigourously defending their product and basically telling people theyre dumb for using WM.
that for me is more than enough to swing me back to wow matrix and manual updates.
great PR guys!

Feb 26th 2009 12:57PM Neither Zul nor Zach claimed either women or young women squeal. They both are clearly commenting on squealing like 'little girls'.
Stop being so high and mighty and making yourself look silly.

Feb 24th 2009 4:43AM So, checking emails and deciding which ones to update is easier than clicking 'Update All'?

Why do we even have to use a program to automatically update all our addons ?

Why have addons at all? Are they not there to make certain ingame tasks easier?
Then why not have a program that makes finding and updating said addons easier?

Feb 24th 2009 4:38AM WoWMatrix gets my vote! I use it as do all of my guildies and lots of other friends. Noone has ever reported any problems. With regard to the sensitive issue of authors recognition and origin sites mot getting a mention, when you highlight an addon WoWMatrix shows you the authors name at the bottom of the interface aswell as a link to the site it is coming from.
