Mar 30th 2012 11:09AM Maybe I'm the dragonborn, and I just don't know it yet!
Mar 24th 2012 12:49PM Whoops, that was supposed to be a reply to Knob.
Mar 24th 2012 12:25PM Jade comes in all shades, but the prized "imperial jade" is a deep, rich green. That's probably the colour they're trying to emulate.
Mar 20th 2012 7:04PM Fantastic advice from both Mamas, and I loved the in-game references.
(And, great choice on the song...) *grin*
Mar 14th 2012 4:29PM If these are a new type of Yak-Tauren, let's hope Blizz will at least make the females look different from regular Tauren.
(Unlike the Taunka...)
Feb 5th 2012 1:53PM Hey Sacco, is this your owl?
Dec 9th 2011 2:09PM Thank you Basil, this needed to be said. As a jewelcrafter, I was dismayed to learn that I wouldn't be able to get epics through prospecting, or any other way except raiding Dragon Soul. I really don't understand what Blizz is trying to do here. Usually if I don't agree with something the devs decide, I can at least work out what their logic was. This time I have no idea.
It also makes me wonder if this is something they plan to do with other professions and their access to basic raw materials. Blacksmiths having to rely on raiders for obtaining special ore that only drops from bosses? Alchemists having to rely on raiders for magic herbs that only grow inside hidden places (requiring a boss kill to reveal it)?
I don't usually link forum posts (as the WoW forums are generally a hive of scum and villainy), but there's an excellent post on the Professions forum that describes this problem in more detail. (In case the link below doesn't work, it's called Epic Gems in 4.3: A Critical Analysis.)
Dec 8th 2011 12:41PM It was kinda funny for the first two minutes. After that it was pretty meh.
Dec 2nd 2011 3:43PM Wow. That was amazing.
That made me excited for this expansion again. Mad props.
Dec 2nd 2011 2:00PM It's not exactly a problem, so much as an indicator that Blizzard might have made an error in raid tuning.
I have to wonder if Blizzard was trying to avoid nerfing Dragon Soul later on, as they did with Lich King and Firelands -- effectively pre-building the nerf in, so to speak. But now backwater servers are seeing Deathwing kills in 72 hours or less, they might have pre-nerfed it too far?
