Jun 27th 2009 2:36AM Browsers! I don't really care what they look like. I know I can customize the wazoo outta most of them ... I can bookmark til my heart's content.
What I want to know is "How will this browser affect my game play?"
Many times ... well, most times... I close my browser to minimize my lag. Some browsers are worse than others. So tell me - Has anyone done a study of memory usage among browsers?
Show me a browser that uses a significant percentage less of my computer's resources (no I don't use a state-of-the-art machine). Show me a browser that lets me keep it open while I'm running a 25-man and not lag.
That's something I would definitely get excited about.
Apr 23rd 2009 10:24AM I thought Bottomscanner was no longer available ...
Did I miss something?
Apr 4th 2009 2:45AM Well first of all, to John Stephen "Mundocani", I'd like to say thank you. Your addons have brought a significant enhancement to my game playing experience. I recognize the enormous amount of time and energy which you have put into this development and I thank you.
As for the text/jargon used in the Blizzard piece, I can only say that it is one more example of lawyers justifying their existence and outrageous fees. They recognized that Carbonite's fee based premium addon "might" weaken Blizz's position in some future, unseen, untold legal case, and they sought to eliminate that possibility immediately. I am certain that it was not written by anyone having knowledge, involvement, appreciation or respect for the gaming community.
I would also like to applaud John Stephen's generosity in making his product available for private distribution, and I have googled my fingers to the bone trying to find his website. I discovered that there is a John Stephen in the fashion industry; one who is running for congress in some state; one who is associated with Urban Outfitters ... but alas, not to the addon developer Mundocani. The closest I came was an email address on wowwiki which connected to ... nowhere.
So if someone can give me some insight into this quest, I could use a little help. I am also proud to be part of the Wowinsider community who for the most part were considerate and respectful to John Stephen in this forum.
Mar 30th 2009 7:17PM When I first installed Carbonite months ago, I discovered how easy questing could be ... (~~what's that ~ that quest was THAT close all along /facepalm ~ Cool ~~). Every aspect of the minimap is configurable - perhaps the scroll button was necessary to make it more useful for you.
I'm very grateful the Carbonite folks are in this for the love of the game - they have my support.
Mar 23rd 2009 11:10AM Awesome work ... truly amazing ... can't wait to see more.
In the beginning the music wasn't my taste - not bad - just not familiar ... which was actually a very good thing. In the end the music had captivated me (regrets to those who turned the music off and closed their minds to the creator's intent). It seemed to be speaking her words - did I imagine the singer whispering "Did you miss me?" A delightful double entendre (did I spell that right?) highlighting the chemistry between the two players.
It definitely left me smiling.
Now I want a new emote to be used when I remove my helmet ... /tosses hair
.../crowd goes wild
Thank you - thank you very much.
Feb 25th 2009 7:39PM Would love to actually see the gallery without the very annoying Alli advert popping over the picture - with no "close" button to be found. I understand that someone has to pay the rent, but this is ridiculous.
