The Queue: Patch 4.3 Q&A -- The transmog edition {WoW}

Aug 19th 2011 5:42AM I honestly have to assume that those saying they are bored with and unhappy with the amount of content in Cataclysm have not tried leveling any alts through the new and revamped zones. In my mind, Cataclysm is best for the altaholics... and I'm guessing there are more altaholics out there than end-game raiders with just one character.

If you are bored with endgame stuff, I highly recommend starting an alt and set yourself the task of actually reading all the quest text as you go. Doesnt really take much longer and you will be GREATLY entertained, I promise!

Breakfast Topic: How often do you read quest text? {WoW}

Nov 29th 2010 4:32PM My hubby kicked me from his group because I was taking to long, reading all the quests! But if I hadnt, I would have missed the most hilarious quest so far (still stuck in Northern Barrens)... the one about Waptor Twapping. We're gonna need some smawwer twolls :D :D :D

Breakfast Topic: The GM's wife {WoW}

Oct 27th 2010 1:09PM I am a GM's wife. We started playing WoW together. He is a little more hardcore than me, and probably a better raider in general. We started our guild together with a few friends we met on our server. He is the raid leader and gm, I am his better half.

As such I find guildies often come to me with question or comments they are not so comfortable going to my husband about. Things like someone having an issue with raid times, another person in the guild, loot rules, etc. They feel I am a bit more approachable, maybe more understanding, and probably less busy preparing for the night raid. But they know that by talking to me, my husband will hear and address their concerns.

Sometime my job is to keep a bunch of boisterous boys focused of killing LK instead of roasting each other. I enjoy raids more when our other 2-3 women are available to play and help dilute the testosterone ;)

I guess these thing make me the Guild Mamma (another kind of GM :P) and probably equally important as my husband in keeping our guild together.

As for dps and pulling my weight in a raid... I do my homework and show to raids on time with the right gear and such. I may not be top dps but I am an important member of the raiding team. I think this is completely independent from my status as GM's wife or Guild Mamma. I like to think my guildies respect that.
