Breakfast Topic: Has 4.0.1 brought you back to WoW? {WoW}
Oct 16th 2010 11:16AM It brought me back to tame pets, explore rotations, try out new abilities.
Schedule's pretty tight so don't know how long I'll be back...though it frees up a bit right around mid-December....:)
Scattered Shots: Internal review {WoW}
Aug 9th 2010 1:57PM At level 71 you should have MD and be able to MD to your pet. Once I got MD, I never (okay rarely) pulled aggro off my pet as long as I MD to him.
Didn't even matter the pet, though Tenacity allowed me to pull more mobs.

Aug 4th 2010 4:15PM Great interview, on here and massively.
Will definitely check him out.
Breakfast Topic: Tank anxiety {WoW}
Aug 3rd 2010 10:43AM I fight the anxiety by doing a lot of research.
After having several failed runs as a bear tank in TBC, I took a break, read a lot, then when I had a decent set of gear, started practicing in WOTLK with pulling multiple mobs, taking on random elites, etc. Then I ran some normals, and then heroics.
The best strategy for newbie tanking, imo, is to really know the instance.
As a general rule, I'll try and keep all the mobs on me, but if a DPS goes AOE crazy and dies, I don't sweat it. If the healer dies, my problem.
My general rules: if the healer dies, its the tank's fault; if the tank dies, it's the healer's fault; and if the dps dies, it's their own fault.
So, my advice, do some research: on your class, on the instance, etc.
The Queue: Dendrophilia {WoW}
Jul 30th 2010 1:21PM I've been lvling some alts.
Now on my warrior, tackling Orange lvl quests is pretty damn fast, but on my mage, I have to drink/evocate after about 2 fights.
So is it faster to tackle Orange lvl quests on a mana using class or should I stick with Green-Yellow because there is less down time?
Encrypted Text: Cataclysm's effect on iconic rogue abilities {WoW}
Jul 14th 2010 7:18AM Don't know much about theorycrafting.
But totally curious to see what the PvP specs look like now with the Mutilate/Preparation build gone (since Prep. is so far up the Subtlety Tree).
Shifting Perspectives: Soloing as a balance druid, page 2 {WoW}
Jun 26th 2010 6:03PM Tyler,
You mentioned the Dragonblight elites, but one I'd like to see you try is the Riders of Frost, Blood, and Unholy in Icecrown. I managed to solo them with my hunter (Unholy was the hardest) but have yet to try on my boomkin.
The Light and How to Swing It: Gearing a new level 80 ret paladin, part 3 {WoW}

The Light and How to Swing It: Gearing a new level 80 ret paladin, part 3 {WoW}
Jun 23rd 2010 3:50PM So, since their is only 5 pieces for Tier 9, if you choose the Triumph helm and shoulders over the tier pieces you are breaking the 4 piece bonus.
Are the Triumph pieces so much better that it is worth losing the 4 piece bonus? Arguably when you start replacing T9 with the Frost rewards, but Triumph rewards?
The Art of War(craft): The battlegrounds as a bridge between content {WoW}
May 28th 2010 12:01AM My only complaint with BGs is that people just don't bother to read even the basic strategies.
Its so frustrating to be in a battleground where you just get stomped on and spam, "Fight at the Flag, fight at the flag."
When I get a good game and lose, or a good game and win, I love BGs.
