Feb 11th 2011 11:23AM for those who aren't familiar with the whiptail farming spot we're talking about:
"more efficient to do other things to earn money and just buy the flasks off the AH"
enough people will farm it that the gold/hr you'll get from farming whiptail will be back to peanuts and you'll do those other things again.. gathering will almost always be behind crafting professions for time worth spent making gold.
Feb 11th 2011 10:58AM Surprised they didn't fix the Whiptail spawning rate, herb prices are going to continue to drop until they fix this.
Mar 20th 2010 4:39PM This might be obvious but..
How do you get a level 55 DK out of the starting area? I thought you would have to be level 58 to get out.
Feb 18th 2010 3:38PM The other big implication I think this will have is on the OTHER northrend herbs.
Most herbalists are also alchemists and only farm for x amount of frost lotus to make a certain amount of flasks for raid nights.
Now that they can get their frost lotus 50% Faster, they won't have so much excess adder's tongue, Lichbloom etc. anymore. Thus a lower supply and price increase of other northrend herbs.
Here's some further reading if you want to know my thoughts on the impact this will have on the market:
Jun 26th 2009 10:06PM I don't think blizzard could see where the $$$ comes into play here... it won't attract any new customers to WoW and also won't extend existing players time input (like with achievements). It is a good idea but don't expect them to act on anything unless it brings in money.
Jun 25th 2009 1:01PM it will be interesting to see how leveling via quests and leveling with BG's compare in speed. will rested XP get used up by BG's?
Jun 17th 2009 8:44AM let us fly in azeroth! lol... mount changes are good, only worried about how much the 1.5 second mount time will affect world pvp since it will be easier to get away if you manage to get out of combat somehow or see someone approaching you.
Jun 16th 2009 8:15PM One major issue with current PvP is that it is too contained within Arenas, I wish there was a way they could make mass pvp viable and fun. Battlegrounds are nice but they just seem like a stepping stone to gearing your character to compete in Arenas.
If they could find a way to let guilds declare war on each other or have faction wide wars that you could participate in via PvP quests (not all clumped in one zone like wintergrasp) where there was good reward or achievements possibly, this would be better.
Jun 16th 2009 2:00PM It will end when Blizzard comes out with their next MMO and everyone moves over there. Looks like they have limits with the WoW base and any exciting new ideas they have can't be done with that framework.. looking forward to it.
Feb 23rd 2009 11:39AM Sounds like you had a very strong reason for quitting WoW and making sure you don't come back when you feel weak.. really think of your reasons for quiting before getting drawn back in. WoW is a very easy game to get absorbed in and ignore your RL responsibilities and goals.
