Feb 9th 2009 11:24AM One of the best things you can do with any interface is to go into the options menu and "Scale down" the default UI, it makes everything scale down smaller increasing visibility, also setting the max camera distance farther.
Bartender is my favourite UI addon, letting you move button bars anywhere, any number of buttons horizontal/verticle and "key bindings" so that you can just hover your mouse over a button and press the key you'd like it to be bound to (even modifiers like Shift+E etc..)
Feb 6th 2009 3:55PM It's unfortunate the way archavon is set up. There is a huge element of luck involved in getting a piece and this piece you get is a HUGE upgrade.
I've had a friend who was able to get the deadly chest, deadly gloves and hateful leggings all from archavon where I was only able to attain the valorous robe.. which is still great..although I focus on PvP.
I understand they want to keep the vault as a high demand area to encourage PvP for WG.. but is there a way to tone down the luck factor and make it more about how much work you put towards (like getting more stone keeper shards or marks)
Feb 5th 2009 12:42PM Hello Priest/Warrior 2v2 arena combo now being viable.
I also heard a lot of worry about Power Shield: Barrier which puts a shield on all party members would be detrimental to warriors, but not anymore.
Feb 2nd 2009 10:44AM When I'm bored or thinking of what to do next, I jump around the top of the bank in Orgrimmar, and I know everyone else does the same because they are jumping in circles as well.. pretty amusing.
Jan 30th 2009 11:44AM I've been looking everywhere for a site like this, ever since WoW Model Viewer got bugged (you can still load it but the animations don't work and it does some really weird things).
When I roll a new class I tend to try and go for the race that looks the best in the highest tier armour available.. the hardest for me was Tauren or Orc warrior? I went with Orc :)
Jan 13th 2009 10:40AM Picking a name I think is one of the toughest and time consuming facets of the game when starting out.. it feels like such a big decision.. something you have to be happy with for the rest of the characters existance (or pay to change it later).
I liked the name Pesmerga, it means "He who chases death" I found it from one of my favourite Playstation RPG's Suikoden. However I later found out that this is the same name as a middle eastern gang or cult that is very ruthless and kills innocent people in real life which I don't want to be associated with...
However, having someone take a name and ruining it's "reputation" shouldn't taint it forever.. is no one going to name their child "Adolf" because of one man? what if his name was John instead? you get my point.
Jan 12th 2009 10:33AM A mage was my first character to 70 and my main... I leveled a druid and warrior to 70, but when WOTLK came around I went back to my mage, got him to 80 and I am having too much fun to go back to the warrior or druid.
Onnix played a shaman, but after experiencing the DK it's obvious he likes the playstyle and "feel" of the class more.. grats on the new main.
Jan 9th 2009 8:32AM Keep in mind that a LOT of people roll hunters/rogues for the lower level BG's, you will see much different data if you take a sample of lvl 71-80 classes then level 1-80. Also a lot of people have made death knights but a few % have taken the journey to getting them to at least level 71 so this sample eliminates a lot of those that are inactive.
Jan 8th 2009 3:34PM it is extremely annoying when a NE pops this in the middle of a crowded Battleground.. you can't re-target them unless you had set them to focus. Definitely buys them time to drop from your target for 2 seconds while they resume shooting at you as a hunter.
I've lost to many hunters on my mage because of the extra 2 seconds they got out of this ability.
Jan 8th 2009 12:24PM While it is nice to have your gf playing with you and it is time "spent together" I think it's good to have a girlfriend that doesn't play as they get you away from the computer and you can do other things out of the game.
WoW should be your time to hang with your online friends, do your thing... and time spent with the GF should be more "social" activities that you might not have done otherwise if she was into WoW as well...
It's just like saying... do you want a girlfriend who watches TV all the time with you? maybe 1 or 2 shows you watch a week.. but you need to do activities together and have a balance.
