Mar 24th 2010 12:42PM Anybody else have a problem with Blood Princes with being able to run through the door (and get knocked through it?)
Dec 3rd 2009 8:17PM Thanks for the info. We actually reached heroic twin Vs last night for the first time. We tried variations of both these strats, but weren't able to down them. Hopefully with the additional insight I've got from here we'll get them next time.
Sep 30th 2009 1:33PM We had a rough time on this one our first time. Our raid lead was convinced that people were dying because the fel lightning was jumping to too many people. It took a bit of convincing to make our lead understand that getting rid of the nether power was the key to not wiping the raid...10k damage to 5 people can be handled, 30k damage to one person will eventually kill everyone.
Sep 9th 2009 5:26PM That was actually my initial reaction to the Faction Champs. But it's not really a PvP fight. PvP gear does not give you any advantage (aside from possibly the PvP trinket). It simply requires different tactics to win. My raiding group is by no means elite (we only raid 2 nights a week and still have trouble with normal mode Thorim) but we've taken the Faction Champs down 3 weeks in a row now in only one or two tries.
I think this fight is hardest on the raiders who are used to taking a static position and either DPSing or healing for the rest of the fight. Unlike most boss encounters, you have to really focus on both offensive and defensive CC, offensive and defensive dispelling and mobility. I'm a holy priest and I find that I'm only actively healing about 20% of the fight; the other 80% I'm dispelling, throw renews on random people, or running away while I've got aggro.
Nov 20th 2008 7:43PM How about the quest the tuskarr at Moa'ki Harbor gives you to go kidnap wolvar babies? I've done that one a couple of times now and it doesn't sit well. I know that technically you're doing it to save them, but I still feel sort of bad as I scoop them into my bag.
