Jul 13th 2009 4:20PM I think that loot is itemized with the idea that druids CAN wear cloth, Shaman CAN wear leather/cloth, etc. If blizzard didn't want people wearing lower armor classes, they would make it so you could only wear one armor class period.
As a shaman, I generally pass on leather/cloth if somebody else needs it, but at my own expense. There is NO non-set spell hit gear for mail or leather. (they are adding spell hit shoulders in 3.2). This means that ele shamans and boomkin have to use rings/trinkets/neck/back to get most of their hit (assuming they have set pieces)
If you are going to tell a boomkin or ele shaman that clothies get priority on ALL cloth gear with the reasoning that they don't have any other options, then you should tell your clothies that boomkin and ele shaman should get priority on spell hit jewelry/capes because they have NO OTHER OPTION

6 seconds before you can start to heal??? I was under the impression that the GCD for totems was .5 sec...that makes two seconds.
If you earth shield can't sustain the tank for two seconds then there is a real problem with either your SP or the tank's gear. On bosses, the tank should let you drop totems before starting the fight anyway
And as for there not being four good totems to drop- shame!
Well, resto/elem. don't have a good earth totem, but that can still buff the rest of your group. Flametongue/Wrath for fire, Windfury/Wrath of Air, and Healing Spring/Mana Spring totems...none of these are good, right?
It is kind of annoying having to reset totems a whole bunch, so having them all on one GCD would be nice, but it really doesn't take that long. And re-laying them down in fights? Takes .5 sec...oh noes I juzt lossst my leet deeps...I find it much more annoying to refresh water shield all the time than to put totems down again.
May 22nd 2009 6:02AM I just feel the need to say that I HATE it when I am trying to level (as a miner) through Sholozar, having not hit 77 yet, and I can't get a single node because there are ten people out farming the stuff with their epic flyers.
Apr 30th 2009 9:23PM What's the deal with all of the ogres being way tiny? Was there a sizing glitch in 3.1 (or is it just me)? The ogres I've noticed in Arathi and STV are all way smaller that they should be.
Apr 25th 2009 3:12AM As a hunter, I MD to the tank before most pulls, but not to say "let's move it," but because I should be helping with aggro anyway since I can.
As a tank, I try to keep things moving, but I first and foremost make sure that everybody is in the same boat and that people understand what I want done. Usually this can be done with a single mark or a quick comment.
After a pull, I loot, skin, move to the next spot, and make sure my healer is behind me with plenty of blue in their bar. Simple of that, but I have still been pestered by impatient people who think I'm too slow.
If you want a fast run though, make sure everybody knows what to do, and have good dps that know how to wait for two seconds while you build threat and can play their class well. One of the slowest runs (5-man) I was in was not due to slow pulling, but to a terrible dps who was putting out (in a heroic) 580 dps. This is where meters help. They got booted and then things zipped right along
Apr 19th 2009 3:27AM My favorite is also in Netherstorm, and is probably my favorite because so few people understand it.
Innkeeper Remi Dodoso
the name, when sung in solfege (do-re-me, etc) is the theme from Close encounters of the third kind, fitting in perfectly with Netherstorm's space feel (including Rocket Man lyrics and MiB references)
Apr 4th 2009 1:32AM I do play hybrid classes involving different sets for tanking/healing/questing, et. al...my lower level alts even trade some gear for questing versus instances.
You make a very good point with the sudden PvP change, especially if you PvP as a healer and the gear is well...not tailored to farming, I certainly concede that point. But if I'm on my druid and switch to my resto gear for an instance, or my DK and switching to my tank gear, I know right where it is...I don't have to "find everything" and it is an easy gear change. It takes longer for me to eat/drink because of the rise in mana/health than to actually switch gear.
Apr 3rd 2009 4:06PM I don't get why anybody needs add-ons for gear. It's not that hard to keep track of and change. If I have an alternate set, I keep it at the end of my bags, if two alts, one at the beginning, one at the end. When I need to switch, it's as easy as right-clicking each piece, and drag/dropping rings and trinks...I don't see how that takes much time at all.
Apr 3rd 2009 1:44AM Precicely. WoW is a huge game, and there is a lot to do. Every time I see someone say "bored 80 LFG" or something like that I just figure that they don't have any imagination. There are tons of things you can do, the easiest of which is trying a different class or spec, the game has so many options
