Feb 6th 2010 5:58PM This is an excellent post. Fuck the haters.
Nov 14th 2009 6:03PM Matt Rossi needs something to tank with that has no avoidance on it.
Rossi's Shard of Woe
Hit rating increased by 37
Expertise increased by 14
Chance on hit: Protect yourself in a furry chest hair sweater, increasing armor by 1000 and increasing block value by 20 for 20 seconds. Can stack up to 5 times.
Nov 8th 2009 11:05AM I don't understand, I really don't.
To try to place LoH/Bubble even on the same planet as Last Stand / Shieldwall is just silly.
I don't know why everyone's getting downvoted to hell in this thread, we should be having a serious discussion, but all it seems to boil down to is some idiot saying "PALLYS ARE DUMB BECAUSE I HAVE EXPERIENCED IT PERSONALLY!!" and some other people saying "I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE COULD POSSIBLY FEEL LIKE MY CLASS IS OP."
The people that have played multiple classes are mostly silent in this discussion. In my personal opinion, the paladin class doesn't have the utility of other classes, and for that, they get a few nice tricks. It can make things a little frustrating in PVP, so perhaps a nerf here and there is needed.
If you think a paladin is easymode, you should really consider rolling one, join the other side of the debate. Personally, I got so disenfranchised with the path the Warrior class was on, so I rerolled. If GC wants to balance out classes due to popularity, I am voting with my play time.
That is all, and remember, no matter how personally involved you get with this debate, taking an extreme stance without the basic facts at your disposal will only make you look foolish.
Oct 6th 2009 12:11PM This is pure win.
Love the DK soloist.
Sep 27th 2009 7:41PM I agree people can be callous and stupid in their comments.
Eddie's writing isn't the issue for me, its the information.
Straight up belligerent or rude comments should be immediately downranked and ignored in my opinion.
I am sure others are enjoying the column, I just wanted to point out that comment dissent does not equal dickhead.
Sep 27th 2009 5:30PM Yes, and thank you.
Pigeonholing the negative comments as people being hardcore raiders is not addressing the problem at hand.
Raiders like to level quickly and effectively too, we have alts we would like to bring up as well.
Just because a few people are making "LOLWTFUCANTRAID" comments doesn't mean the other, more sensible comments should be cast aside.
Sep 13th 2009 12:33PM I think bswopes is absolutely right.
I am a warrior tank myself, and I also tank HTOC daily, but I will say there is something quite difficult about picking up those phase 2 ghouls.
I wouldn't have a problem with that, challenge is a great motivator, but a guildie and RL friend recently dinged 80 with his prot pally and tanked that section undergeared, and underskilled with no issue.
Understandibly tanks have differences, but I found it a little sad the ease of which it was tanked by that pally.
Aug 9th 2009 10:21PM Why are you guys down rating this stuff? These posters are exactly right!
An article on racials is hardly the food that we expect or find palatable.
So you don't raid, ok then, but perhaps heroics? 80 dungeons? Jesus even an article on farming scholomance. Do we not know the racial abilities by now?
Isn't this kind of like "Wow Rookie?" (a great series of articles btw).
Aug 8th 2009 8:28PM Hey I wanted to ask something.
I am fairly new to arena (started this season), and my friends and I have been playing the game since vanilla wow. We all have gotten some great pvp gear (mostly from farming 25-Emalon), and are sitting at between 600-900 resilience each. We know how to play our classes (I am a warrior, btw) and have great pve gear as well.
Here's the question. Everyone is saying how easy it is to finish high at the end of the season, but we seem to plateau on 2s and 3s. Our comps aren't awful, maybe not DK/HolyPal, but we just can't seem to get past 1000 rating. Once we get above that point, our rating starts to climb so slowly (+3-11 points per win) and fall so fast (-45 per loss), I am honestly stuck for an answer.
Perhaps we just suck, but we all take WoW very seriously and have done a lot of research on specs, arena strategy, and we all farm gear in our downtime.
What am I missing? Why are apparent "idiot mouthbreathers" breaking 1500 with "no skill at all," while we are perpetually stuck at 1000.
Please help WoW.com readers!!
(and "You suck" is not a constructive answer)
