Mar 9th 2009 8:01AM So is it confirmed that the FF change does work with Moonkins IFF to that my IFF will last 5 mins? I know I wouldn't mind that extra GCD on a boss fights since my raid now counts on IFF being ~100% up on boss fights.
As for eclipse, does the Wrath --> Eclipse --> starfall change at all or just the Starfall --> Eclipse --> Wrath?
Jan 22nd 2009 2:24PM I really enjoy the expansion and I appreciate the changes that 3.08 brought to my druid character. Most people who complain about bugs really have no idea what they are talking about. I used to work for a large company and did some testing. There are many things that show up in production that do not in beta. It is not possible to create accurate load testing in beta on a large scale no matter how much money you throw at it. Yes there are often benchmarking software and scripts that you can run, but nothing like real human interactions with the system.
Does anyone even grasp the amount of code that is involved with an mmorpg? And sure people will complain about the fact that they spend 15 bucks a month on the product so it should be perfect, but think about all the other things that you spend 15 bucks on. How much does it cost to fill some of your gigantic suvs and pickup trucks that many people drive? 15 bucks is really not much money these days, as last time I went to the movies it was 9 bucks a ticket for primetime and 7.5 for the afternoon. So even in the afternoon it costs 15 bucks for me to take my girlfriend to the movies not including any drinks or popcorn.
Could the patch have been handled better? Sure, but what patch couldn't. Its not like Microsoft, VMware, Adobe, Firefox or any other company has serious screwed up things in a patch before. Oh wait that's right they have. Compared to Microsoft locking up millions of machines with SP3, or VMware's licensing bug (oh really expensive VMware ESX software) that caused servers all around the world to stop responding, this is nothing. Nothing at all. Get over it.
Jan 14th 2009 10:29AM Oh the barrens how I miss you so. Am I the only one who thinks it would be awesome if Hunters could tame some of the cool animals found in the barrens. (Yes I know you can tame some there such as the Dinos) But, I would want to tame the Zebras or the Giraffes. How awesome would it be to see a Hunter with a Giraffe? Or maybe they could make a trinket so my Druid in Cat form could take on the appearance of some of the cats in the barrens.
Oh just wishful dreams.
And don't forget the Chuck Norris Jokes in the barrens.
"When the Boogeyman goes to sleep every night, he checks his closet for Chuck Norris."
Dec 21st 2008 4:38PM I have comcast in Reading, PA and have off and on issues since Friday. Friday was unplayable since I got disconnected every 5-10 minutes. Yesterday was playable, but with high pings. And today is random disconnected and going from 200ish to 3200. I died when the ping shot up as the monster I thought I was fighting wasn't there or behind me, etc. I died a few more times recovering my body since my position was actually off my 3 seconds. What lovely fun.
Maybe we shouldn't all rely on At&t having a large portion of the backbone in the US. Has anyone ever seen their customer service for cell phone service? And they keep growing thanks to their cell phone market.
As for Comcast they are on their way to become the next Microsoft whether we want it or not. By that I mean they provided fantastic service a few years ago as the market continued to grow. Now they offer so-so service at huge prices, but there is no one else to get service from in many areas. I live in a fairly large city, (4th largest in PA I believe) and Comcast is the only broadband provider in my neighborhood. There is no other cable company that I can get, and dsl coverage is spotty at best in this area.
Everyone bow to the new monopolies of At&T and Comcast. Man my behind hurts...
Dec 19th 2008 11:10AM Wow yet anther reason not to use the official forums. I love blizzard as a company, but they are really trying to nickel & dime their customers for every copper.
Having said that, I have loved every blizzard game I have ever played and will continue to play wow and their other games irregardless of advertising in battle.net or on the forums.
Dec 12th 2008 1:13PM The problems with the DK being the flavor of the month will die down over the next few months.
As for the customization, many people are glad to be able to change their character. As for me, I really don't care about the feature. Once you have your armor and stuff on can you really see much of the skin or face color of your character? On my Belf DK you can't even see his face in most of the gear unless you turn off the helm option, and you can't really see much of his skin either.
As for people who are worried over the gender change... Get over it. I personally have both male and female characters, including: 1 male tauren, 1 male Belf, 1 Male orc, 3 female belf. Again who cares.
As for the refer a friend, yes you can power level your characters too quickly. I leveled a Rogue to ~ 45 while barely playing it thanks to the "grant a level". Thankfully I also play a feral druid so I know dps pretty well, but the point is people really don't get to know some of their characters if they power level them.
Nov 21st 2008 2:35PM It looks interesting. I wonder if you can change the key assignments as the default keys are:
* F12 – Shows/Hides Rogue
* F11 – Transfers Mouse/Keyboard Control From Rogue to the Game and Vice Versa
* F10 – Decreases Rogue’s Transparency
* F9 – Increases Rogue’s Transparency
As listed on: http://rogue.gotgame.com/download/
Which is the same keys that are built into Wow (the bag keys) and Fraps.
