Mar 25th 2009 2:13AM Why would you even comment on arenas right after admitting that you'd never even played a match? Your opinion is based entirely on what other people say; its worthless.
I have actually just started getting into arena and i think the gear/rating system is fine. Resilience is not an insta-win stat. Nor is it something that requires high rating to stack. I still suck at arenas (or maybe haven't run with the right partner) and have about a 1300 rating, but I have 898 resilience. Between the Hateful glad pieces you can get with only honor from BGs/WG and VoA drops you can completely gear up in pvp gear with no rating.
But pvp gear does not lead directly to wins. Look at the last Gladiator interview article on this site: The rogue featured runs with less than 500 resil. He's using PVE gear for arenas.
PVE gear for arenas. Not the other way around.
In my opinion the "welfare" gear is plenty competitive, its just that it's not purple so people don't want it to fill their pve sets.
Mar 18th 2009 2:30AM Haha. Right up there with "for all intensive purposes" instead of "all intents and purposes."
God that one irks me.
Dec 9th 2008 2:40AM I agree regarding the lack of feral druid tanking idols. The Idol of Terror remains the only idol with any kind of mitigation or survivability stat. This is a problem.
Dec 9th 2008 2:32AM What concerns me most is not the details of how this will be implemented, but how it will change guild loot rules. Already with the spellpower change (among others) you have several classes rolling on one item, but with dual specs almost anything is fair game for one of your two main specs.
Nov 24th 2008 2:18AM Absolutely not true. Strength is now ahead of Agility as the best stats for a feral (dps) druid to stack. This is due to the agility-crit ratio nerf and the ability Savage Roar which places even more emphasis on huge attack power numbers.
Now, if you're only referring to feral tank stats, then I agree with your priority list, but feral dps is competitive now, so strength gear is fine by me.
