The Lawbringer: Legal gold sales? Not a Blizzard's chance in Hell {WoW}

Mar 25th 2010 9:12AM Blizzard selling gold would not change much of anything when it comes to Chinese gold farming. My company is an RMT company that is not based in China but here in the USA, we do not exploit users, we do not FARM gold, we do scam people, we do not spam people, what we do is provide a service that I would bet over 30% of the WoW population gladly take part in. Now my experience in RMT is coming up on 11 years, I have been there done that over and over. I agree that todays RMT markets are a mess thanks to the guys in China committing credit card fraud, stealing accounts, spamming and the list goes on. In our opinion its time for change and that is exactly what we are doing. After attending Engage and GDC this month change will be a very welcomed thing to many players across many games.

So why won't Blizzard selling gold work? Because no matter what they sell or do there will always be a secondary market to try and undercut etc etc... What people do not understand is the size of the Chinese farm markets, they would not just give up and say oh well Blizzard is selling gold now we better pack up shop. NO WAY! They would scam harder, create better bots and do whatever they could to keep raking in the money. However all is not lost friends because there is another way to swiftly kick Chinas ass out of this space and yes even us being in RMT we want China OUT! Currently we purchase close to 90% of our currency for all our games from players.. we do not need China. Considering we are one of the larger sites in the RMT space these actions we have taken have caused a surplus of gold in the Chinese farm community which has driven prices lowwwwww recently. Its an interesting space and changes will come over time. But next time before you get all bent on RMT remember there are some of us out there trying to better the system so it does not have such an impact on those not wanting to take part, consider it it "going green" in RMT.

Felicia Day Explains How to Meet Girls In 'World of Warcraft' {Asylum}

Nov 24th 2008 7:05PM Funny stuff Felicia! So here is the big question, what if the Ferrari of a broadsword was acquired via powerleveling or from buying the account? What if the sword was purchased with gold that was purchased? Would there be even that much more potential because he A. has in game riches and B. could potentially have real world riches... feel free to email me about this and we can discuss it.. hayden@mogs.com
