Breakfast Topic: What's behind your character's name? {WoW}

Jan 5th 2011 10:31AM Oh god, I love the Discworld series. I was planning on making a rogue named Vetinari, but I was too attached to my Flintte name scheme.

Jan 5th 2011 10:29AM You know, upon further reflection, I have no idea why I wrote Dalaran instead of Stormwind or Orgrimmar. Go figure.

Breakfast Topic: What's behind your character's name? {WoW}

Jan 5th 2011 10:20AM Hehe, well, I really only did it at first as a jab at my guild, because they kept mispronouncing Flintte (it's supposed to be like "Flint", but they kept saying "Flintee" or "Flinette" or "Flintet"). So I made Flintee, my first alt and 2nd level 70, and then in Wrath came Flinete the DK. And by then, I sort of liked how all the names were related, so I just kept making variations on them for new characters.

Jan 5th 2011 10:12AM Huzzah, they posted my article!
Though they changed the title, it was originally "A Dwarf By Any Other Name..."

Totem Talk: Enhancement and spellpower weapons, a problematic pair {WoW}

Jan 1st 2011 8:04PM The biggest problem with it is that caster weapons already have huge competition, being used by spriests, elemental shaman, warlocks, mages, and balance druids. The last thing we need is another spec in the mix, needing on our caster gear so they can whack people with it.

Breakfast Topic: Who's your nemesis? {WoW}

Dec 30th 2010 11:24AM Nowhere near as bad as "SUFFER MORTALS, AS YOUR PATHETIC MAGIC BETRAJRHAJHHAGJHAHRAYS YOU!"

Breakfast Topic: Who's your nemesis? {WoW}

Dec 30th 2010 11:23AM Oh god, Mor'ladim. I'd be questing in Raven Hill Cemetery, minding my own business, when I'd spot a skeleton with a glowing sword. My blood ran cold, and I turned to run, but it was in vain; he'd spot me from around 100 yards away and would pursue me until I met my untimely demise.

Like you, I take great pleasure in slaughtered Mor'ladim whenever I pass him.

Dec 30th 2010 11:21AM Archimonde, no contest. Getting 25 people to all play flawlessly and not die was a major pain, and it was especially bad for me. I was the melee healer, meaning that I'd have to stay close to my group (because of the shaman with Tremor Totem), but I had to get close enough to cast Circle of Healing on the melee. And that meant really high risk of getting hit with fire. And then of course there was the Air Blast and the Tears of Elune that people just couldn't get the hang of.

We downed him eventually and there was much rejoicing, but that boss was such a pain in the ass.

Spiritual Guidance: Pre-raid gear guide for holy and discipline priests {WoW}

Dec 29th 2010 10:27AM I was so excited to win the Emberstone Staff the other day in Heroic DM. It was the very first blue I ever got in WoW, on my priest way back in Vanilla, so getting the heroic version was awesome =)

The Queue: Monster {WoW}

Dec 22nd 2010 10:27AM My brother and I decided that we're gonna make 5 small chickens for 7 people (we wanted to do Cornish Hens, but the chickens are cheaper), each a different type. It's Tandoori chicken, orange-glazed chicken, chicken with soy sauce and oyster sauce, barbecue chicken, and roasted chicken with potatoes.

We wanted to do goose first, but it was like $80 for a goose, so we decided on the chickens instead.
