Dec 27th 2005 5:20PM I work here at amazon (i'm only a temp) and I can tell you, most of the people I saw were terribly busy for about a month there. There's a sense of satisfied exhaustion permeating the place.
Dec 23rd 2005 6:56PM That site says I look like Guglielmo Marconi or Linus Pauling, depending on the pic I use.
Dec 22nd 2005 7:34PM Exactly #2. Flinging your code all over the internet is not only defeating of the point, but also pointless because you both have to friend each other before you can play against each other. Thankfully!, because otherwise if anyone got ahold of my friend code somehow they'd be jumping in the middle of my games with my actual friends.
If you want to play against random internet strangers just use "regional" or "worldwide" and keep your friend code to yourself...
Dec 22nd 2005 3:32PM I honestly do not care how long it takes them to finish TP. I have such obscenely high expectations for the game now that any extra time they can spend polishing it is time well spent as far as I'm concerned. I'm expecting an epic on the scale of Ocarina of Time or A Link to the Past here.
Not that I didn't completely love and admire Wind Waker, but you can very much tell where there were supposed to be more dungeons, one instance involving the backside of your home island comes to mind in particular. That was SUPPOSED to be a dungeon, but I guess they just didn't have time to do it. I want none of that nonsense this time around.
Dec 22nd 2005 2:08PM Despite the fact that this video was encoded by someone who had no clue what they were doing, that is quite possibly the most awesome thing I've ever seen.
Merry Christmas indeed!
Dec 21st 2005 5:46PM I take advantage of the price differences between the weeknight and the during the rush on weekends. I tend to invest in a lot of (for example) Mageweave cloth and stash money during the week, and when the weekend comes around I spend the money to buyout anyone who's severely undercutting the market, and dump my goods at a reasonable profit. I don't do anything manipulative, like trying to control the entire Mageweave market. I'd be generally against that. There's a fine moral line here, and the closer you get to it the more money you make, but since there's no price fixing laws in Azeroth it's sometimes hard to know where that line lies.
Dec 16th 2005 1:13PM I must say I have the most fun with my priest. Shadow makes soloing fun, and I can save people from certain death. One of my favorite solo techniques is as such: cast regen (or shield if it's levels above me), then charge a Mind Blast. That gets their attention. Then I pop a SW:Pain, and quickly start Mind Flay, which slows their approach. They finally reach me, and then I Fear them. They run off, and I mind flay them again as they run around. Fear wears off and I can Mind Blast again. Then I just cycle Mind Blast and Mind Flay until they die or I run out of mana.
Dec 15th 2005 2:23PM I'm one of those weird guys that plays a female charector. I have a female priest, for one because I couldn't possibly imagine having a male priest. She's loosely based on White Mage from 8bit Theater... She gets a lot of attention... It was a bit disturbing at first, but I've gotten used to it. She's just hot, I guess. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v466/sycomonkey/persatia.png
Dec 15th 2005 12:18PM I'm actually in the data gathering phase of a little research into commodity prices in World of Warcraft and how real-life events like weekends and holidays effect this. I'm still pinning down my methodology, but when I am finished I'll put it up somewhere.
