Apr 8th 2010 9:43PM If "Life Grip" makes it through beta to the retail version, I imagine it will probably go through the same phase (so to speak) that death grip has gone through/is going through. You will have a large number of players who use it because its cool and because its fun, and so they will wind up using it at the wrong time, and in the wrong situations, causing no end of grief and frustration. After a time however, people will stop using it just because its fun "Lets Life Grip the tank back away from the boss, whoops, now the dps are pulling aggro and dying, My Bad". I play both a DK and a priest, and while I enjoyed death gripping enemies throughout outland dungeons and even in some northrend dungeons, I now only use it when its practical (I.E. pulling that ranged mob to the tank so his AoE will keep threat, pulling that caster to interrupt his spellcasting, etc, etc)
Feb 26th 2010 7:29AM This is slightly off-topic but our 10-man group is extremely melee heavy most nights so our tactic for the blood beasts is usually for the 2 ranged we do have to burn/kite one beast while our ret pally/rogue/fury warrior/whoever the 4th is stun lock and blast the 2nd beast. It dies so fast it usually doesn't even get a hit off, and makes the fight so much smoother since we lack the ranged.
Apr 12th 2009 6:23PM I would think that the shield proc would still work with rapture for disc priests, making it pretty useful, and since the amount shielded is based off of the amount healed then the healer that can bring the hardest hitting heals (i.e. holy light crits) would give the biggest shields, so I think thats why they are saying pallies would be a great healer for this mace. But I don't think that those advantages will be enough in most guilds to sway a decision unless everything else (participation, contribution, etc) are identical for two healers.
