Jan 15th 2010 8:25AM It's not 'the further you are, the less threat you do'.
The mechanic is simple... if you're within 10 yards, you need to have 10% more threat than the current aggro holder to draw aggro.
If you're further than 10 yards, you need to do 30% more threat to draw aggro.
Jul 28th 2009 9:32AM Drag's comment was deliberately confrontational, insulting, and without any foundation. In other words, a 'troll'.
An ad-hominem counter is therefore entirely appropriate, if a little guilty of 'descending to his level'.
Jul 20th 2009 7:40AM As a druid healer, I like to have hots rolling (and generally 'overhealing') on primary targets, just to absorb any spikes that might come along. It's a lot more efficient to have hots ticking already than it is to try and respond to spikes with a nourish or *shudder* healing touch.
Even with that approach, I'm contemplating shifting points from some of my mana regen talents and moving them into bigger heals, simply because it's a rare fight that really strains my mana bar or gets me looking at the innervate button.

matthewgrammer's comment initially reads like a barely-veiled version of the usual "LOLRP you guys are all basement dwelling losers" that the sloped-forehead section of the WoW community often decends into. I suspect that's why the voting-down is occuring... it looks just like a troll attempt.

You make a good point. However, I suspect you're in the minority... an awful lot of twinks I would suggest _are_ just in it for the ability to slaughter any non-twinks that dare to step into a BG below 80.
Also, despite your claims earlier, the gearing that a twink has access to _does_ make a big difference against those with the average gear available to a levelling toon. It very rapidly got to the point that non-twinks avoided battlegrounds until the cap, as the general experience was one of running around aimlessly in between being flattened by a pair of glowing weapons. Raw skill can only go so far to make up the difference... one would need to be substantially better than the twink to even hold your own.
On the other hand, one can gear up substantially with minimal time and effort at 80. Wintergrasp showers one with honor, and there is some very good gear available for honor prices. Sure, you're not going to be in arena gear, but arena PvPers don't often step into the battlegrounds while they still have arena fights to fight, and there is a much wider population to smooth out the gradient.
Jun 29th 2009 4:20AM Hardly anything to buy with honor? If you don't Arena and you're not in an end-game-raiding guild (ie the majority of the player base), then honor epics are very very competitive with other available gear, even with the loss of item budget to resilience.
Jun 26th 2009 5:07AM Yupyup, and I cured cancer by thinking about it real hard, and also fly just with a bit of wishing and pixie dust.
Saying it doesn't make it so.
Apr 3rd 2009 8:33AM My druid charged through the DEHTA quests post-haste, but is very leery to do the Nesingwary *spit* quests :P
Going to make getting Sholazar completion rather tricky.
