Patch 4.3: New UI improvements {WoW}

Nov 15th 2011 10:35PM they should go with the usual dot consisting of it wearing a ^ like a hat for targets above and a corresponding one pointing below for targets below.

Like some other MMOs have.

Class Balance and Design Q&A transcript {WoW}

Nov 9th 2011 9:12PM I was pleased to see the volume of warlock info but: - Malefic Grasp replaces Shadow Bolt for Affliction. It is a channelled nuke which increases the damage of your DoTs on the target by increasing their tick rate by 100%.

******
Yeahhhh....I don't think I like that. I don't like a channeled nuke. I miss the affliction mobility of earlier expansions. So; if it increases tick rate by 100% will dots complete quick enough to where most of my time is spent re casting curses? Or in the case of corruption and unstable affliction; re cast the applicable spell that refreshes that dot.

I hope there are changes or actual play is cooler than I think it is and it's cool. Or I could just "get over it" as I've been doing since Vanilla. ;-)

I just feel this is something in response to a vocal minority of recent warlocks who inexplicably like to use Drain Life as filler 100% of the time.

I am not sorry they would put a stop to or abate pet twisting. I hated that.

They'd better not lose soul swap. I enjoy that ability.

I am looking forward to the different demons available. Very much.

The Queue: Look at me, Drek'thar {WoW}

Nov 4th 2011 10:27PM I loved vashir as a leveling zone. It was a nice change. Some of the outposts are hard to find in their hollows but /shrug.

I am used to the Z axis from other games; and leveling as a warlock in vanilla (re with a boot up your ass from world elites) you tend to swim underwater alot using your unending breath to get near and away from encampments.

And swim in the Loch and Redridge Lake to /look for treasure! (said in Terrance and Phillip's voices)

Nov 2nd 2011 6:06PM Hey everybody, did the news get around
About a guy named Butcher Pete
Oh, Pete just flew into this town
And he’s choppin’ up all the women’s meat

[Chorus]

He keeps hackin’ and whackin’ and smackin’
He keeps hackin’ and whackin’ and smackin’
He keeps hackin’ and whackin’ and smackin’
He just hacks, whacks, choppin’ that meat

Nov 1st 2011 4:42PM agree. in retrospect vanilla should have been about 40 levels.

I wonder if they could reverse engineer the leveling zones to get you to outland at 41?

Well they could but would the amount of time investment kill the idea?

Nov 1st 2011 4:14PM Wrath introduced a few new shirt tailor patterns (the various color lumberjack shirts).

Did Cata introduce any new shirts? I do not recall seeing any.

Hopefully Pandaria will introduce new shirts or blouses with mandarin collars. (Think "Enter the Dragon" and "Way of the Dragon" bruce lee tunics).

I've long wanted a consistent shirt pattern in various colors with a HIGH collar that shows above (on neck) low collar or flat collared robes and tunics or chest items.

I just don't like the look of some of the low collar robes and seeing skin between helm and chest piece.

The Queue: Civilization {WoW}

Oct 30th 2011 3:28PM Humph...upon seeing the headline in my rss reader I expected to see something like this:
http://youtu.be/ZBxqW065eSY "Civilization" by Danny Kaye and Andrew Sisters
as the introductory video.

Ah well.

"Each morning a missionary advertise with neon sign
He tells the native population that civilization is fine
And three educated savages holler from a bongo tree
That civilization is a thing for me to see
So bongo, bongo, bongo I don't want to leave the congo
Oh no no no no no
Bingle, bangle, bungle I'm so happy in the jungle I refuse to go ..."

Blood Pact: A warlock history {WoW}

Oct 25th 2011 1:09AM Bear in mind these were the days when dots only claimed a mob at first tick...making warlocks easy game for quest mob theft. It was a long second or two from landing to tick...many mobs o robs

The dot now just landing claims the mob; so this significantly salves (only at quest time) loss of CoR and changes to not being able to banish a previously tapped target. Back then you could banish any target yours or not.
