Apr 27th 2009 3:59AM There are some players that don't want any semblance of peace between Alliance and Horde.
I, for one, would be happy without a single iota of understanding.
Let the foolishness, the blood-stained past, and the hot-headed leaders pour more fuel into the war-engines! It's fine by me, because I picked up this RPG to do just that, play a role...
And my role is to be a hated enemy of the Alliance.
So, I love the conflict, and I want the hatred to flare up even hotter, to a point beyond all reconciliation.
Apr 6th 2009 11:51PM Brewmaster.
Hybrid DPS, Tank.
Three specs: Drunken, Discipline, and Martial.
Class-specific profession: (like poisons or runeforging) Brewing.
Different brews give you different buffs, much like DK runeforging, rogue poison or shammy weapon enhancements.
Mar 2nd 2009 3:17PM There are a few championing tabards now... Do you think there will be any tabards to champion PvP Factions?
I'd like to get that Warsong Gulch rep a little faster, please.
Jan 9th 2009 2:10PM The way I figure it, an important part of an MMORPG is the "RPG" part of the game...
You roll Alliance, you play the ROLE of a hated enemy of the horde, you roll Horde, you play the ROLE of an enemy of the alliance...
If you can stroll past your hated enemy, wave, and just keep on picking flowers, then where did the "Role-playing" go?
If you can stroll through contested territory without any inkling of anxiety or fear, then what's the purpose of contested territory?
If you feel no difference between your "homeland," and a dangerous, foreign land, then I think that the RPG element is gone.
Nov 25th 2008 12:57AM I'd have to say, each class has it's perks, each race does too.
Sometimes, you're going to be at a disadvantage at almost anything.
For example, a hunter, warlock, death knight, or pretty much any class that can summon a minion for long enough can mine or gather a node without any problem, as long as their pet has aggro.
The way I figure it, this isn't a class balance issue, a technical bug issue, or a broken mechanic issue, it's an ettiquette issue...
Then again, you should remember that this is an MMORPG. The "RP" standing for Roleplaying.
A player should be able to play the role he/she wishes, even if it's fun at the expense of others.
What would be enjoyable... is a player-driven punishment system/bounty-hunter system.
