Oct 30th 2010 7:01PM Seems worthless to me to put anything but straight intellect gems in (almost) every gem slot. 2 purple gems for your meta requirements are all you need. After that, if you are under the hit cap, reforge until you reach it. Intellect can only be increased via gems. Haste and crit can be reforged at your leisure. All red, baby.
Aug 31st 2010 1:20PM Brains Over Brawn. 3 point talent deep in Holy. You receive intellect equal to 33/66/100% of your strength, but your offensive attacks and spells do 35/50/65% reduced damage.
This would let holy offspecs use their ret gear to heal without allowing them to do competitive damage in it. They would still be able to use full intellect cloaks, necklaces, rings, trinkets, weapons, librams, and shields. And perhaps even the holy pally tier gear could be the classic spellpower (int) plate. But... if a main spec ret didn't have the gear to heal and wanted to fill in a gap in the raid as a healer, he could more easily be able to.
Jun 9th 2010 3:36PM I think it would be cumbersome and awkward if they kept the Blood Elf and Draenei zones on the BC servers. "Oh hey you can't fly past this invisible wall because there are a select few people still playing this game that don't have tBC. Sorry."
I think it's time to just allow access to the starter zones for people who only have classic wow. They still won't be able to roll a blood elf or draenei, or go to outland, but the quests and zones on old azeroth will be accessible to everyone (or they could not be offered to those people). This way the cataclysm world will be cohesive and fluid.
The JC trainers only being in SIlvermoon and Exodar was a cheap easy fix. Why not just make them non-interactive for people without tBC.
My two copper.
May 5th 2010 12:24PM I'm leveling my rogue as a skinner/enchanter. Skinning is the BEST leveling profession because the bonus is on you from a low level (instead of starting at 400) and the lowbie enchants I can give myself are a small bonus also. I am stockpiling my leather in preparation for switching to leatherworking around level 70 (I have a plethora of borean leather to level with).
One thing you forgot to mention about leatherworking for physical dps is the cheap leg enchants. It's just one more option for convenience. Since I already have a druid with max JC and Alch, and a shaman with skinning that I no longer play seriously, the rogue will have (IMO) the perfect profession combo for upgrading new gear.
Also, he's a dwarf which is auto-win.
May 13th 2009 2:10PM It's actually kinda funny and a little surprising that you say we're lower on dps than we should be considering I've still been topping meters. Additional threat-free damage procs? I'll take it!
Apr 25th 2009 4:14PM I wonder sometimes why people in your situation try playing this game.
Mar 20th 2009 2:50PM I feel like my main was the 1st toon on my server to get the white Polar Bear mount because it was in my first spoils bag ever. I have no proof of that though because I don't think there was an achievement for it. I was a celebrity among the few people in Dalaran at that time.
I also got old ironjaw on cast #2. Crafty took thousands, and I eventually caved and used the fishing daily trick to get him after being sick of the gankage.
Dec 4th 2008 8:00AM Wondering if I can get around this:
I used to have a macro on my feral druid that put me into aquatic form when swimming, flight form when I was in a flyable area, and cheetah form when in combat or a non-flyable area. The problem with Wintergrasp and Dalaran is that the game considers them "flyable" by macro standards but the no-fly-zone screws the macro up when I try to use it. I imagine it's the same for mount macros. Any suggestions or is my good old macro a dud now?
