apparently my lamp has a bizarre cult following.
can't blame them really, it is a swell lamp.
Aug 22nd 2011 10:02PM was really interested in this game. too bad I game on a PC and must therefor be a scum of the earth pirate type what needs to be kept in check by Ubisoft's boot heel of justice.
Aug 22nd 2011 9:54PM @(Unverified) actualy, i believe most reviewers got PC versions unless they asked for a console version. DXHR was a PC game ported to consoles from day one, as I understand it.
Don't know why anyone would review a 360 copy when a fully functional PC version is available, but maybe i'm just one of those elitist PC master race blokes.
Aug 22nd 2011 9:49PM @INTRO definitely got the impression from the GT review that the review didn't "get it". he's clearly not the intended audience for this kind of game. For one, he reviewed it on the 360. Dues Ex is a PC franchise and putting it on consoles has never done a single favor for it. (Invisible War, anyone?). I got the impression that the reviewer was looking for a cyborg themed COD. oh wells, to each their own.
Aug 22nd 2011 9:45PM @slickie Alpha Protocol could have been great, it had all the bones, it just didn't put them together right. for all the illusion of choice, in the end it came down to shooting all the mans with big guns.
judging by the reviews i'v read, DXHR does a decent job (with some few exceptions, apparently, disappointing) giving players actual choice. I can't wait to play it!

Ubi's DRMbomination is actually not on From Dust, they chose instead to release it on PC 2 or 3 weeks after consoles, because everyone knows that if you make PC gamers wait, all the pirates will pay full price like nice little boys and girls. right? RIGHT?!
Jul 17th 2011 10:30PM @Comet 20 just wait, he will be the only character that cannot die. all your favorite companions will lie shattered and broken upon the charred remains of earth, but Jimmy Vega is eternal.
(PS: James may be his propername, but i fully expect him to refer to himself in an ever more elaborate series of nicknames, starting with Jimmy and progressing through Jims and J-Dawg, ultimately stopping at The Veganator at which point Shepard pistol whips him and puts him out the airlock.)

reasonable comments that run contrary to blind, unmitigated internet rage VILL NOT VE TOLERATED.
(for what its worth, i gave you an upvote! :D )
Jun 24th 2011 7:59PM @Irem for what its worth, they never promised micro transactions would never happen, they said (at the time) that they had no plans for micro transactions. obviously, that changed. like it or not, it wasn't a promise.
Jun 24th 2011 7:03PM the first bit about the memo seems pretty reasonable.
unfortunately, the bit about pricing comes across as downright confrontational. The prices are unexpected, and higher than I'd every pay, but getting all defensive about it isn't the way to handle that kind of criticism.
