Arcane Brilliance: The wonders of Frostfire {WoW}

Dec 7th 2008 6:06AM Among the most amusing parts of this discussion is that I've been accused of being:

1) An un-attentive parent
2) A would-be book burner
3) A controlling, self-righteous, crusader for American Values (capitalized, of course)
4) A righty nut, opposing free speech, out of touch with "Today's Youth", and willing to begin a boycott against WoWInsider articles
5) A witless, unfunny dolt

How you've extrapolated such insightful and detailed characteristics of my life is incredible! How perceptive of you. And from just one internet comment? A marvel.

Whether you were exaggerating to prove a point or truly believe these notions, I'd like to once again point out that my comment was made simply because I found the phrase distasteful.

From a website that has, at times, aspired to higher journalistic ideals (see the moral grappling in articles accompanying leaked Wrath information) and caters to an audience of all ages, it's simply surprising and unwanted to see such blatant lewdness.

So please, interpret all you'd like from this comment and more! I'm giddy with excitement about what else you guys can tell me about my life (so egocentric, I know).

And the first responder to my original post totally resembles Corey Feldman, amirite? At the risk of derailing your arguments, can I get a confirmation on this?

Arcane Brilliance: The wonders of Frostfire {WoW}

Dec 6th 2008 10:26PM Corey Feldman (or at least, his look-alike),

Aside from your argument not making much sense, I've already responded to what you mention. As I posted in my comment, the intent is irrelevant. Whether it's for fun or not, no child needs to read about the crude exploits of a WoWInsider regular columnist in a virtual world. Furthermore, the content of the article would be unaffected were the offensive material removed.

Due to its insignificant mention in the article, its not a big deal to have it removed and maintain this site as 100% family-friendly.

Arcane Brilliance: The wonders of Frostfire {WoW}

Dec 6th 2008 8:50PM Wow, did this article seriously make a reference to "tea-bagging"?

I enjoy dirty jokes, curse words, not being PC, and all that sort but that term is foul, tasteless, and pointless to post on a site about WoW that I'm sure children read.

I understand the intent. The intent is irrelevant. I also understand that it is a small portion of the article as a whole. However, its insignificance to the article only proves my point - it can be deleted without hampering the article's intent, impact, or information. It is irrelevant. Unnecessary.

Editors, please remove it at your earliest convenience.
