Feb 2nd 2010 11:45AM What I am saying is I get my job done, I am not talking about regen with crit, but with my spec I can keep my targets up. I have read countless articles and stats, some say MP5 sucks some live by it. What i was pointing out by my comment of being on top of the healing meters is that thru the tools we have for getting mana back MP5 is not really needed. Lets take into consideration that a holy pally is casting most of the time, therefore mana regen thru MP5 is pretty well cut in half. So is it worth stacking up gear with MP5? What percentage of time is spent casting while in a fight? Also if MP5 is such an important stat so revered by pallys why is it going away in the next expansion pack? As to me gimping myself, I dont think so. Crit is for more then getting a little bit of mana back, I would rather crit 60 plus percent of my holy lights then 40 percent of them. I have to stand by what I said, MP5 is not important to me. I have healed ICC 10/25, ToC, Ulduar on a regular basis and yet have I had a mana issue. So, instead of putting me down buddy, open up your mind and look at other alternatives, cause for every reason you come up with to stick with haste/mp5 I can find a reason to stay away from it. I have gear for both ways, and I prefer my crit/haste over mp5/crit or haste. I would also like to add this from a site I regularly read

"What hurts the Mp5 Stat is nothing scales with it or for it. So as your gear improves, Mp5 continues to give you the same benefit.

If you were to put the points into other Stats like +Spell Power, Intellect, Crit Rating or Haste Rating, as your gear improves, you’ll gain an increased benefit.

Intellect is an exceptional replacement stat for Mp5 simply for the benefits gained from Divine Plea with a high amount of Intellect.

Early on, when your gear is ordinary at best, Mp5 does have its benefits, but as your gear improves, you should shed off your Mp5 in favor to Stats that are more beneficial and scale better."

Feb 1st 2010 8:01AM Nice article. I do disagree with one thing though. MP5 as a stat for a holy pally sucks. I avoid it unless I have no choice. I have been taking plate with SP, Haste and Crit. I never have a prob with mana and mainly use my holy light with a holy/ret spec. I always am at the top of the healing meters and my assignments very rarely die.

Jan 8th 2010 7:28PM Go to your character window, pull down the spell menu, highlight the mana regen. It gives you two stats, one while not casting and one while casting. basically cuts it in half.

Jan 8th 2010 6:56PM I gotta disagree with you on that one. MP5 has to be one of the most useless stat for a pally. As the MP5 is cut in half when casting we dont get a hell of a lot from it. I load up on Crit and Haste as much as possible. This does wonders for my Holy Light. MP5 has to go away fast, cant wait till they get rid of the stat.
