Mists of Pandaria Beta: New Ragefire Chasm video {WoW}

Mar 23rd 2012 10:38AM Almost an open question:

Do you think they basically retconned Garrosh? I'm having a little trouble digesting that "oh yeah... yeah... Garrosh was always meant to be annoying and a short lived leader"

In my opinion, I think they had different intentions for him, but because they couldn't write his angry passion into the story in a likeable way, we'll have another good-guy-gone-bad.

Breakfast Topic: Were you impressed with the Mists of Pandaria press event? {WoW}

Mar 23rd 2012 9:48AM I disagree. Maybe it's some people's cup-of-tea, but I think releasing info in a clear manner that includes their gameplay intent is way better than drawing the wrong conclusions from data mining lines of code.

Breakfast Topic: Were you impressed with the Mists of Pandaria press event? {WoW}

Mar 23rd 2012 9:42AM While many expected the "Whoa!?" shockers of a Blizzcon-like event. They basically expanded on the features already announced. I think this led to an underwhelming experience for some. I really appreciated the honesty from the Devs about the timing of some of the new features. Such as "we're so close on finishing X, but it'll probably have to wait until Patch 5.1".

They totally sold me on their enthusiasm about Pandaria. You can tell they're trying to make up for the "same old same old" Cataclysm endgame by coming up with completely new ways to play the game. (Ok, Pokemon's not that new ;) )

There were 2 goals of the press event for Blizz aside from the PR hype, IMO.

1) Show off and be proud that they can make high quality content quicker than ever. (A goal they strive for, but previously have come up short)

2) To kill as much of the confusion/misinterpretation/nerdrage that results when the community is presented with a beta data mining dump and no frame of reference.

They did good. Right in the middle of heavy development and they take almost a whole work week to preview stuff for us? Kudos.

The Queue: And Your World Will Burn {WoW}

Oct 17th 2011 12:28PM Slightly rhetorical, but why hasn't Blizzard released the Blizzcon schedule at the event's site (Blizzcon.com)? Is it normal for them to wait this late, or do they assume everyone has an iPod or Android phone?

The Queue: There are 113 days until BlizzCon {WoW}

Jun 30th 2011 12:53PM If I do my new Hyjal dailies faithfully, how long is the event from beginning to completely unlocked end? Is it a few weeks? Or are we talking, last all the way to Patch 4.3? I want them pets!

The Queue: The first Queue {WoW}

Jun 23rd 2011 11:29AM Did curse.com and MMO-Champion.com get hacked like the other gaming sites?

The Queue: It belongs in a museum {WoW}

Sep 13th 2010 9:03AM How long is it going to take people to "get it" that the 5-mans won't be face rolling activities for a while? As a healer who now needs to drink more often and cast 3 second heals to stay efficient, I'm tired of getting cussed out on the beta and kicked because people want to chain pull so badly.
