Sep 10th 2009 2:55AM Suprising to see no comments on the use of soulstones and holy wrath. I'm sure there will be some people who read this article and talk about their respect for guilds who are innovative enough to use game mechanics to clear new raids quickly. Who argue that these people are clever, deserving of our admiration.
I'm not one of them.
I belong to probably a more old-fashioned mindset that says anyone who stacks 15 warlocks outside a raid to soulstone almost everyone, or runs 5-10 palladins to perma stun adds is not innovative, but exploitative. You know exactly what you're doing when you choose to play the game like this, and you know that Blizzard's reaction will be to nerf abilities in response to your exploits.
Your selfish actions affect the rest of us, not by our inability to duplicate your exploits, but by nerfing our abilities for the future. I hope therefore that the achievements associated with these exploits are removed.
Sep 9th 2009 9:54AM "Why does WoW Insider love Holy so much?"
Oh dear...really if you knew anything about the OP you'd know he's a huge disc fan, having made the transfer from holy to disc at the start of wrath....i don't like how inane his columns have become recently, but one thing you really can't accuse him of is being a holy lover.
Sep 7th 2009 10:14PM Once again a nicely thought through and reasoned article. thank you.
Now please roll a healing priest, we really need you in that column too.
Sep 7th 2009 8:00AM Nothing wrong with Dwarf Shammies Lore wise....
Nelf Mages on the other hand. How wrong is this? Needs a new race, the "cursed elf" or the "arcane elf". Expecting nelfs to use arcane energies indeed! It is like imagining paladins to use shadow magic, it just isn't right.
Grey me out, but you know it's true!
Sep 5th 2009 7:40PM I actually think that's the main reason it's going - to reduce itemisation complexity, not because it's a hard to understand stat.
Your argument applies just as equally to retadins and unholy/frost DK dps. Only "pure" melee classes get optimal use out of it and since they all share the same gear...
Aug 31st 2009 8:30PM I'm actually glad that in wrath bliz have stayed away from the make it hard = make healing hard formula.
I hope it stays that way, would suck to go back to that.
Aug 31st 2009 8:48AM Continuing this excellent theme I'd like also to point out that all cloth items have strength, agility and a picture of Mahatma Ghandi on them, or they don't
Aug 25th 2009 8:13PM yep, i got a mass effect feel as well watching it, no objection, great game, if that's the model
Aug 18th 2009 9:16PM I'm afraid I can't agree. Originally we tried this tactic, but keeping him in the same place has always worked better for us, it just reduces the complexity, provided you have a good cooldown combo for it (we typically use disc priests).
It is possible to kite, but your tank has to learn to deal with him in place if he's gonna attempt hard mode anyways (you really don't want to be kiting him for that) so...
Aug 18th 2009 10:29AM lol ... or not rofl...they launched some headphones...
