Feb 18th 2012 2:46AM same with me. I actually still have it and intend to use it for Transmog should I ever return to playing that warrior.
Feb 13th 2012 12:45PM I strongly disagree. The best bar in the game is in shattrath. World's End. Best place to catch 'Leet Tauren Cheifteen
Jan 24th 2012 12:07PM Dude! I love your videos!
I don't know how you do it, but your insight into the game and the people that play it leave me rolling every time I see one of your videos.
there was a point where in my guild i had one of each of the types of people that play WoW. I so wanted to have billy come and play in my guild. I love that poor little guy...
Jan 23rd 2012 4:51PM Thank you for sharing this video. Truth is like a sword. It plunges to the heart of the matter, and cleaves away all the trash and excuses we make in our lives.
I started playing wow a few days after its launch here in the states. I had just lost my mother to cancer and my brother was heading off to college soon. We were both long time fans of Blizzards games and with WoW on the way we were excited to be able to live in the world that we had played in so much of our younger lives.
In truth my brother was more excited then I was. I had seen many of my friends deal with their evercrack addictions and I didn't want that for myself, and yet I still played. I was the antisocial social gamer. I refused to join a guild, i never raided, refused to get sucked into the drama. I was content to run by myself or with my brother. funny how all that can change.
I still blame my brother for finding my wife first. we needed a healer and he invited the wrong person. she accepted anyway and as a group we hit it off. in time we hit it off as well. we have been married for coming on five years now with my son just tuning four.
All great stuff yes, but here is the issue. WoW sucked away all the time that i let it and I let it take way to much. To the point of obsession, to the point where i had to make choice about being a husband and a father or a WoW player. I chose my wife and son over some digital data and cool armor.
some months later my wife and I are playing again with balance in mind. its not an easy task. but it something worth fighting for.
Jan 19th 2012 11:52AM I totally understand what you mean. I have been drafting a story of my warrior from the early days of the game and thus was lucky to not have to deal with this issue. I do have a suggestion for you however.
I would personally skip that content. In my story even though I didn't have to, I totally skipped the whole Outland thing and went right from old world lights hope chapel to Northrend. For my story it works as my warrior has a very personal motivation for joining the argent crusade.
Your story is personal to you. This world is so amazing that everyone can have their own take on it and no one could say you did it wrong.
Nov 10th 2010 12:52PM http://www.wowwiki.com/Elven_druid
for you that played the blood elf zone im sure you remember those huge stones that you had to repower and defend for a bit.
The Warcraft Encyclopedia states that "Elven magi" created the Runestones that surround Quel'Thalas. This seems to conflict with Warcraft II manual's account that those Runestones are created by "Elven Druids".
now who is right here... personaly I go by whats in the games and the manuals that come with the games...
there does exist the possibility for high elven druids. but blood elf druids i would say no. they corrupted themselves with fel magic and the like.
Aug 22nd 2010 8:09PM this one is simple.
CDs hold about 700 MB
a dvd holds about 4.7 GB on one layer.
a dual layer DVD does about 9.4 GB
the wrath install disk was a DVD. was it dual layer? i dont know.
but its about time they started useing DVDs for install. i cant even remember the last time i Bought a CD-ROM much less saw one come new in a PC off the shelf...
Jul 8th 2010 7:05PM I actually found the human form Worgen sound alot like Kenneth Branagh.
the wolf forms sound like a feral Dr. Jekyll/Mr Hyde...
I am so horde for life... but the more I learn about the Worgen its getting harder and harder to resist the urge to switch... I can only hope from what I am reading and seeing in CATA... that I will be there when Garrosh meets his well earned fate.
May 12th 2010 4:16PM actually i hope they pull the engineering specials too...
i refused to lock myself in to one because i sensed a ling time ago that the others were going to go away. and a prime example of why...
yes I know that ammo is going away in cata but for right now If I had chosen a specialty and i had the wrong ranged weapon on my hunter... I'm screwed. this is exactly why all the specialty stuff needs to go away.
Mar 27th 2010 9:36PM A point of note. thrall did not lose to Garrosh. their fight was interrupted. It certainly seemed like he was going to loose, but he did not die, or yield. either had happened Thrall would not be the warchief right now.
Also being a warrior like race does mean they are also warlike. The Tauren are very much a warrior race and yet they are one of the more peace driven people in the game. The Orcs of Draenor were certainly warriors and were once warlike. but by the time durotan and ogrim were boys they had begun to move beyond that. rather then the wars the tribes had in the past they held games to let out their battle lust.
Garrosh is the worst possible choice as a leader for one simple reason. He has no idea WHO HE IS! He thought he was the son of the Orc that dammed his entire race. then he finds out that he is the son of the Orc that eventually freed them. in both cases he was either trying to avoid or live up to what his father was. He lives in the past and is bound by it. To quote a human poet, "Above all else, to thy own self be true" and another, "Know thy enemy, Know thy self." No one can be a leader if they have no self identity and worth. thrall has this in droves, Garrosh has none.
Thrall has made a horrible mistake in bringing Garrosh to the Orcs and I fear it will cost them more then they are willing to pay.
