Feb 17th 2009 9:18PM Yes the money you pay to Blizzard for the PRIVELEDGE to play WoW is indeed your money. If you read the legal mumbo-jumbo WoW is their game, your characters, their gold and bank contents and the very 1's and 0's that make up the game are Blizzard's, which means when you use a program that interacts with that code and is not approved or condoned by Blizzard you are messing with something that is not yours. So if you don't like the stance Blizzard has taken don't pay them your money anymore.
Feb 10th 2009 1:02PM Skill is always better then gear, but when your trying to throw a quick 25 VoA run together I don't care about your skill, many times I have gotten angry whispers from people saying that they "really good" but their gear sucks, and I just am not willing to accept someone for a 25 man raid in blues. If they have the gear they obviously did something to get it.
Now if they are a complete idiot but in stellar gear, I just add a new horror story to my library and laugh about it later with my friends.
The greatest story being the 3/5 t7 hunter who asked our raid what a "debuff" was when we tried to kill Grobbulus.
Feb 10th 2009 2:26AM I started on a PvP server [Daggerspine] and then moved to Arathor [PvE]. Yes being killed by rogue sucks, yes being camped sucks, and most definitely it would suck to have a rare spawn jacked right out from under your nose. But I must admit that the method it was jacked was humorous to read, and if the Gnome was really that mad, he could just head hunt your priest friend and start a giant feud on the server lol.
Jan 20th 2009 7:04AM As part of Ùnforgiven, [A] Arathor, we started out with only people we knew IRL. we pugged with a few people in heroics but mostly kept with the 5 starting members of our guild. As we pugged we met some very awesome people, instead of straight up "poaching" we would just tell the ones that impressed us that if they wished to take us up on our offer that there was a spot in our guild for them. after we got some more of those people simple word of mouth lead us to the majority of members that we have today, and I cant think of a single person we have recruited that has betrayed us yet.
Jan 20th 2009 6:40AM Thank u so much for the article and the pic is AWESOME i couldnt help but grin as all the memories of my little pally growing up and becoming the healer he is today started flooding back with your comments. /hug.
Jan 16th 2009 5:47AM as for the questionable goings on within the caverns of time.
Durnholde: helping Thrall escape his Alliance captors.
For the horde, an obvious good thing. For the alliance imagine trying to fight [I believe] Archimonde at the end of WC3 if the horde weren't there to help.
Black Morass: Helping Medivh open the dark portal.
For the Horde again an obvious reason no portal, no horde. For the Alliance, the resulting wars with the orcs united the races of azeroth and lead to the alliance.
Stratholme: Helping Arthas defeat Mal'Ganis ande ensuring that he goes to Northrend and becomes the Lich King.
For both sides: Arthas' becoming the Lich King was wat destabilized the Burning Legions use of the undead to over run Azeroth yes both are equally evil but imagine how bad it would be to fight them both at the same time...
Mount Hyjal: Defending the World Tree.
Obvious reasons for both sides.
I'm sure that this post has been made already and plz forgive me if I made a mistake in my lore.
Jan 2nd 2009 8:34AM The few things I want in 2009.
1. Do not nerf seal of wisdom. 2% of my base mana. On my Holy pally at the moment my base mana is somewhere near 5k, in a total pool thats pushing 18k, i have nightmares about what that will look like.
2. Leave my bubble alone!!! I like jumping off of impossible heights and bubbling at the last second I jump off the floating islands around Dal all the time and a play a game of chicken with myself to kill time.
3. A new PvE Libram would rock. the only one I have found reduces the mana cost of my Holy light by 117... give me a break.
Other then that I think that DK's should be eliminated but thats just the anger talking lol.
Jan 2nd 2009 8:22AM As a healer I have come across my share of horrible groups and my share of awesome groups and just about everything in between. But I know when to get out as soon as people start playing the blame game. and as soon as someone gets on me for something thats A: isn't my fault, B: wasn't my responsibility, or if they are just plain out rude. I leave with as much dignity as possible but i definitely leave. WoW is a game and if I can't enjoy myself then why bother paying money every month to play it?
Dec 16th 2008 11:39AM As a Holy pally, I rarely ever use Divine Shield. and only in gone to shit situations before I Divine Intervention someone to save myself a repair bill [Yes, im that cheap]. But removing the fact that it is an immunity in my opinion sucks. I love it for the fact that if I get caught unawares in an AoE or if I accidently pull threat from an incoming mob I can pop it and not have to worry about it at all and continue healing as normal. And also the entire depraved amusement of riding along and just jumping off the side of Dalaran and bubbling just before impact.
