Breakfast Topic: Are achievements putting too much pressure on players? {WoW}

May 5th 2009 9:02AM School of Hard Knocks almost made me quite the game yesterday. I don't do BG, absolutely hate them with a passion so was not happy that I was being forced into them for this achievement. I wouldn't have minded if you only had to be near the flag when it was dropped etc but for a non-PvPer trying to do the BG tasks was one of the most infuriating experiences I have been through with this game. Blizzard have made a major mistake this time and they need to change it fast. We pay Bliz to enjoy a game not to allow our real lives to suffer extreme frustration and anger.

Naxxramas gear by type {WoW}

Mar 19th 2009 5:32AM Whatever the figures suggest I can honestly say that after running Naxx for the past few months spell power plate hardly ever drops. The biggest problem we have found for our guild is the Tier tokens that drop have been for "Rogue, Mage, Druid, Death Knight" atleast 90% of the time :( plus OS and VoA drops are pretty much always for Death Knights.

The Queue: Casual raiding and you {WoW}

Dec 22nd 2008 7:51AM I recently PUG'd heroic Violet Hold and we had a Fury Warrior using Battle Shout. I have improved Blessing of Might which gives 687 attack power for 30 mins but this was being overrided by the said warriors Battle shout. Even if the fury warrior had 5 points in Commanding Presence he should only be able to generate 685 attack power. I did politely ask the warrior to not use battle shout but he flately refused spiraling into a min flame war. Obviously, it is better to have BoM running instead of BS if only because it lasts 30 mins and then you can forget about it. I thought Blizzard had fixed this problem, how come BoM is still being overrided by a lesser buff?

The Queue: I believe I can fly {WoW}

Dec 17th 2008 9:05AM There seems to be a problem with the Northrend Alchemy Research whereby you are pretty much discovering recipes that you already know. I have done 3 NARs since getting my alchemy up and 2 out of 3 of them were for recipes I already knew. I spoke to a GM about this and was told that Blizzard are looking at this but would not be able to return my mats or aloow me to learn 2 new recipes. It seems pretty daft to me that such an important ability is bugged so badly. After all, it seems to be the only way to learn new potions/elixirs outside of regular trainers. Has anyone else noticed this bug? I have searched the internet a bit and not really found any posts on this.
