Apr 25th 2009 11:00AM It's not just you. I just can't seem to "get" it. Fer gods' sake, let me get off that stupid chicken and sic my pet at them. *growls*
Apr 23rd 2009 9:30AM My main's a hunter, basically because it's what I wish I could be...
But I'd probably be a Mage IRL, with tailoring and inscription professions.
Always wished I could shoot fireballs...
Apr 23rd 2009 9:27AM BOOTERANG!
Err, sorry. Been grinding rep too long. >.
Apr 22nd 2009 11:51AM There's also a dog (named "Dog ") in Freewind Post, Thousand Needles.
Apr 20th 2009 7:14PM While certain aspects of Blizz' customer service could be better (phone service open on weekends, perhaps? Something besides voice mail hell?), I've never had a problem with how they've treated me.
I had some issues attaching an authenticator to my account one Saturday morning, and had my account locked against me. I tried the phone, I tried a couple of email addresses. Yes, I was highly annoyed - especially when I figured out it was my own farkin' fault. I figured I was SOL until Monday, when I'd try the phone again while their CS was open.
After running some errands I tried signing in and was able to get into my account again. I didn't receive the reply email until much later. I blame mail server hassles.
Yes, stuff could be improved (make it much easier to find the proper email address for specific issues, and don't call the game serial an "authentication code"). I personally don't have any complaints about their customer service.
I totally agree that the BBB is out of its league here. It smells too much like an extortion attempt: "You'll have this negative report until you become a member and are able to formally respond. Until then - enjoy the smear on your name."
Consumers have a much more difficult time filing complaints against member companies and getting "satisfactory" results. The BBB is hardly neutral.
Apr 19th 2009 11:59AM Three members of my guild: Charitard (fire mage), Pikamoo (tauren shaman), and Wigglybuff (Belf prot pally). They're usually online at the same time and run together.
Apr 17th 2009 2:18PM Yes - make PTR testers subject to a non-disclosure agreement, just like every other software dev company.
Honestly, the patch was more or less *yawn* once it went live, because we already knew everything that was in it. Now it's a simple race to get everything before everyone else.
Apr 14th 2009 9:15AM No, the three steps are:
Apr 13th 2009 12:08PM I LOVE this.
Copied to my own blog, with credit.
Apr 13th 2009 10:16AM Definitely make use of the resources out there and learn what stats are beneficial to your class. My first toon is a horribly-equipped Alliance hunter who's too poor to even go to the AH and get better gear. I didn't know that Strength wasn't an important stat for a Hunter, and wondered why quests were so hard. She sits in Darnassus now, nearly permanently retired.
