Dec 21st 2009 2:25PM Woh… math, calculators.. I know nothing about math, but I love poker. The less ppl there is in the table the less u need to have a wining hand. Same thing with rolls, the more ppl roll, the bigger the provability of them getting a high number. if u roll a 60 in a 25 man, u know u not going to win. However if u roll a 60 on a 5 man, u could have the winning roll.
Jul 30th 2009 1:40PM “$258 million in income for Blizzard????”
Not really; retail price is the final number, not Blizzard’s revenue. You need to subtract taxes, the store’s profit, carriers, if Blizz doesn’t do there own packaging, packaging as well, manufacturing, and any other intermediary that we might not know about. After all, Blizz is just taking home a fraction of the 258 million, not nearly enough to pay for the “$500 million on their staff, development, and hardware”.
What it really makes net profit for them is branding, all this manufacturers paying millions to stamp Blizzar’s trade marks in the most random crap.
Feb 10th 2009 1:08PM Woow… Im usually a negative person, and chances are that I would disagree with any1 even if I think that what they are stating is correct, but are just right. U got it, I agree with u 100%, but then again the maturity reflected on the behavior projected of the toon has to be equally or less than the maturity of the person judging the toon. And take it from a guy that has PUG all his way to Naxx25, the chances on that to happen are hardly any.
Feb 10th 2009 9:28AM The issue would be solved if blizzard would add fights that require real skill, If u r a caster DPS(mage) like myself u’ll find urself with very little to do in Heroics and Raids, really. CC is completely out of the picture for now, there are no real variables that u can choose from to the eyes of the general population if u are a mage, and u are not frostfire built, u r a fail mage. Rotations have 2 maybe 3 efficient variables. So the only real variable is gear. And there ain’t many variables in gear either, u either choose between hit R or Crt R, those r the big decisions, that are mainly common senses.
unfortunately, with this philosophy of “bring the player not the class” (which btw I happened to agree with in theory but not in the practice) the fights have become way easier, u might have to pop a cocoon here and there, but that’s about it. Unfortunately, is all about gear. IMHO
Feb 3rd 2009 12:29PM …and btw
“ Btw: the Vivendi financial group estimated a 1.2 to 1.3 billion dollar reveny from Blizzard for 2008. Indeed that's 500 million +.”
This is a pointless remark, Blizzar IS NOT WoW. Blizzar could have close 2008 with 1.2 to 1.3 billions or 100 billions, WoW 500+ revenue is nothing more than one more source of revenue of Blizzar’s total income.
Feb 3rd 2009 10:14AM Every time that Adam brings a report that tries to shift the ordinary trend of conversation he gets a lot of unnecessary and unproductive heat. If this is not the kind of article that interest u then don’t replay to it, or even better, don’t read it. I do think that the report is pretty vague and stays in the surface of the issue. But I think that the article is intended to be this way, I’m sure that Adam is aware that a deeper analysis would be out of place in wowinsider. But a report like this its just a spark to open up to a different kind of conversation, and I appreciate the effort and I think I understand the intention, and I think is very positive.
Don’t ruin it with worthless comments, thank you.
Jan 13th 2009 1:35PM 24.... tick!.....tick!....tick!
Radio shows, tv news, news papers, and even WoWinsider.
what an amazing show! they mentioned the Geneva Conventions for like 4 seconds and now we all remember that the Geneva's treaties even exist. I wish the show would have air 4 yrs ago. It would have save alot of paper work to the CID (Criminal Investigation Division).
Dec 19th 2008 1:31PM I honestly have to say, that Im a bastard on real life, a real old fashion mean person. I mistreat new employees at work old the time, I yell at my IT department all the time as well. Im really good at what I do, there for I have the luxury of exercising seniority, and picking on newcomer. Is that a good thing? Those that makes me a better person??? Definitely…. Not ( I guess u all expect me to say).
But I do that face to face, in WoW the ppl that exercise the same behavior “in game” I think that there is a fairly good chance that they are the ones being picked on in real life. I think that the rudeness and bashing comes out of restrain, and flaws in real life interaction with “real ppl”.
But then again that’s just my opinion.
