Feb 5th 2010 12:35AM @Myself Re Race changes...

Ooops, I meant they made the change when there were 12 races to choose from, an they knew they were going to have 14 soon.

"You mean like realm transfers?"
These have been around for a very long time now. I'm not sure why you would have mentioned this. I did my first transfer ~4 years ago because my new co-workers played on another server. This was mainly created because of over populated servers.

"PVE-PVP transfers?"
You mean PvE to PvP transfers (PvP to PvE has pretty much always been available) yea I was surprised by that one. But it was because of the number of barren PvP servers.

"Race/faction changes?"
This was changed when there were 10 races and they knew there was going to be 12. People don't want to re-roll. Remember, WoW started with 10. But again a little surprised about the faction part.

"Flying in Azeroth?"
This is still true, they are not going to allow flying in Azeroth. They are going to allow flying in the NEW Azeroth. This has nothing to do with policy it has to do with the rushed / poor quality modeling. Use the Hunter or Shaman remote viewing spells on the top of a tower in Stormwind and look around. You will see TONS of clipping issues, missing terrain, etc. They won't let you fly in Azeroth because it was never created with that intention.

[1.Local]: Cataclysmic shock and awe {WoW}

Aug 24th 2009 3:19AM I never thought my psychology class would ever have helped me. Before the term "social network" got used by the media recently, professor J. A. Barnes in the 1950s defined the size of a social network as a group of about 100 to 150 people.

Aug 24th 2009 2:56AM In the Q&A session this was brought up and they will be revisiting the current racials to modernize them.

Aug 24th 2009 2:47AM This means that you need to start your own guild and run it they way you want. Or another option would be for you to apply to some better guilds which have fair "looting" rules. Blizzard is putting the security of "guild money" into the hands of the guild master. It is up to him/her to assign permissions of who can and who cannot spend it. Once Cat hits or as more news comes out, talk to your GM or Guild Leadership and ask how it's going to work for your guild.

[P.S. I vote for a better commenting system]

Aug 24th 2009 2:35AM I don't know how far they will take it, but they are addressing this a little bit by removing spell power, armor penetration, mp5, and other stats from the gear. They will also be standardizing the stamina on the gear so there won't be any more "plate envy" as they called it.

Aug 24th 2009 2:31AM A question like this was addressed during the Q&A session. They feel like a repair bot fills this need nicely and don't plan on making any changes like that.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm targeted for a 2010 release date {WoW}

Aug 24th 2009 2:14AM That was referring to lore, not real time. However, I would venture to say that 60-70% of the wow players wont even see Arthas before June or July. Sure the hardcore players & guilds would have him spanked and having him bagging their groceries by then. So for the majority of players that might be true.
