Apr 4th 2012 3:46PM I must say, I am getting weary of these massive overhauls that we are being hit with each expansion and across the classes. Too many of the changes have the feel of "change for the sake of change". Still, as always we shall adapt.
I am envious Fox. I copied my Shadow Priest over to the beta, set her back up as Shadow/ Holy and when i changed to Holy to set her glyphs, Disc was switched in as her Primary and now I'm stuck with a Disc/Holy priest, lol. At least until they turn respec'ing back on.
Oct 24th 2011 12:04PM "I think Dea ex Machina also has an unfortunate point concerning player psychology in that "the way the character 'looks' is at least partly in your head," and that artists may "update" your character into something that no longer feels the same."
Undoubtedly true. Also, imho, it is easy to make the new models too perfect. I am referring to the toon faces in particular. Compare the Blood Elf and Draenei faces to the older models. The thing that I like most about my female human toons is that their faces are not baby butt smooth and perfect. There are imperfections and that helps me to identify more closely to them.
Oct 2nd 2011 10:00AM I have to disagree. I, for one, very much miss leveling the various weapon skills. I also miss leveling lockpicking and brewing my own poisons.
Think about it folks. Back in Vanilla and early BC we did not "run out of content". Most of us did not, anyways. Just sayin. They have simplified the game too much.
Aug 17th 2011 11:42AM "I'll be honest -- I never thought that this was something Blizzard would do, because of its adamant stance on what gear means in WoW... "
That they have changed their stance on this should come as no surprise. They were adamant for years that we would never be able to use our flying mounts in Azeroth. Look at us now.
It's economic, imho. In other games (like Rift) you can put together costumes and have them display instead of the armor that you are wearing. This is very, very popular. Blizzard is trying to catch up, and putting their own unique twist on how to do it.
There have been several other things over the years that Blizzard said would NEVER happen, and yet as years has passed we have gotten them. Race change comes to mind, and Faction change (this was a "Not even if hell freezes over is this ever going to happen" position in its' time).
I'm sure that some have come about because upgrades to equipment made it possible, and knowledge gained on how to get the programming right and not blow up the databases. It is also trying to give the customer (us) what he/she wants.
Now, if they would just get off their butts and code in an option for aoe looting....
Jul 11th 2011 11:11AM I've never found a way to pull up a record of when a toon is created.
To find out when your account was created, don't comb through your years of credit card statements, just log into you Bnet account (not the game) and look in account management.

Mar 29th 2011 4:48PM The best solution is to just STOP trying to balance for PvP. Consider only PvE in balance and design and let the chips fall where they may.
Feb 28th 2011 11:12AM Flasks were in the game, lasted two hours and persisted through death. You did not see a lot of them because they required the rare Black Lotus (which was bop most of the 1st year of the game) and had to be made at an alchemy lab. In the beginning there was just one lab - Frostwhisper's room in Scholo. When BWL opened there was (still is) another lab beyond the Suppression Room area.
Feb 25th 2011 11:19AM Congratz Adam. May you live long and prosper together!
I find it interesting that near the top of the tower (outside the instance on the north face) There is a grif roost with two birds (no flight master) and an instance portal swirly a few steps away. I've no idea if they were added with 4.0, or perhaps they've always been there and we just could not see them without being able to fly up near there.
