Mar 9th 2010 9:30AM Hey there, Pete. I don't think it's ever been in question what caused the reception that EWS got when it was released, but it'd be really nice if you could correct Mr. R. Lee Ermey's name in your article.
Have a nice day.
May 12th 2009 10:12AM WoW Insider and Curse team up for the neatest things...
Mar 3rd 2009 2:31PM When LK launched, I had 5 level 70 toons. I wanted this title on three of them, but I didn't get off my ass and level two of them before the event started, and since I already knew I had to go into Naxx to get this title, I had to prioritize. I levelled one of my toons to 80 attempting to get Love Fool before the holiday was over. After staying up all the last night trying to get _one more_ heart candy, I found myself sitting here at dawn pissed off at the RNG. You had to have looked at all the achievements for this before you started, and therefore known that you had to go in Naxx, which you (hopefully) knew was a level 80 raid instance. Assuming you knew this already, unless you were planning to get your toon to 80 in time to Pity the Fool, why would you do all the other stuff and then complain about that? I got many of the achievements on all my toons, but I didn't try to go after the title on any but the two I knew I could get it on. To do otherwise would've just been stupid.
Feb 21st 2009 8:22AM My "Classic" raiding experience is sadly limited to Zul'Gurub and UBRS. I, like many other people, am kinda sad that I wasn't able to see the 40man content when I started, which was a few months before TBC was released. That being said, however, I remember what a pain it was getting 20 solid people together once a week for ZG and how utterly confused I was at first with so many people in the group, and running a 40man at that point would have been a nightmare to me, most likely, and soured me on "big" raiding forever.
Going back and doing the content at 70 (or now at 80, we just cleared MC last night so some people could get the achievement) isn't the same as running it "for real" would be. Still, it's nice that people like me get to see it (damn, why didn't I start a Naxx pug at 70?!) and enjoy it, and it's nice to group up with people who put up with 39 other people at 60 and did it for real.
Dec 29th 2008 3:07PM It's also worth noting that a tank keeping Sunder Armor stacked isn't doing it for himself, that armor is penetrated for the whole group.
Dec 23rd 2008 2:21PM Slightly off-topic, I've never been able to understand these people who will stand around in IF for an HOUR begging for a port to SW. When you whisper them politely after the first two minutes that they'd have been in SW for free by now by taking the tram, they almost invariably reply that that's not fast enough. Of course after five minutes, the taxi bird would've been cheaper and faster, and once you hit the hour mark, they're obviously just trying to find a mage to date or something, they don't really care about getting to SW.
Slightly on-topic, I'm always as polite as I can be when asking for a port somewhere, which I do very rarely because I know the mage has better things to do than port me, and I'm usually not too lazy to get their on my own hook. I do, however, at least know what the possible destinations of a mage portal are, and you'll never see me asking for a port to Southshore or Silithus.
