Apr 2nd 2009 3:32PM Oh my god. I am so sick of blood elves and rap videos. At least this Summergale chick makes it better by not being either stereotype.
Mar 30th 2009 12:43PM I can't stand Gigi's parodies. She sounds lazy? Not sure how to word that right, she just doesn't have that tone in her voice that makes it sound authentic. White girl needs to do Britney Spears' parodies if you ask me.
Mar 4th 2009 3:55PM This is gold. Pure and simple comedy. On one side we have people saying Ret is overpowered, and on the other side people are saying it's too weak.
I don't PvP much anymore but I can tell you that any class that knows what they're doing can still beat me in a duel, and my arena teams are garbage. But then I play people that have no idea what they're doing, and they try to freeze me in place while hand of freedom is on, or they'll stand there and let me pop them in the face while Divine Protection is up. Divine Shield (lol bubble) is not overpowered anymore. It reduces the damage we deal by 50%, and nobody in their right mind would try to deal damage in PvP while it's on unless the target is close to death anyway. If you see a pally bubble, run away, let him heal and you heal/bandage yourself. AMG! A pally stunned me and now I'm gonna die! Save your PvP trinket for that long stun, simple as that.
As for Ret in PvE...I think we're right where we belong. This is totally gonna sound like me flexing my e-peen here but bear with me. My first time on KT 25 man, I pulled 3.1 on him. Mind you, this was backing out of pain circles, being mind controlled, stunning and CCing other mind controlled players, and throwing away my Art of War procs to help save people getting ice blocked.
I like to think I play my class and I play it well. There's still things to learn but I'd hate to see us take a major hit in either the PvP or PvE environment because the vast majority of people in the game either don't understand how paladins work, or they just can't deal with the fact that Retribution was so weak for so long...that the Ret loyalists just totally destroy their faces when given proper tools to play with. If you can teach a man to shoot a beer can from 100 yards away with a bee bee gun, imagine what that man could do with a sniper rifle. It's all in correlation.
Mar 1st 2009 8:37AM Ah the good old days. The days when being run through SFK by a level 60 fury warrior was awesome and that warrior was a god.
My biggest noob moment? Reading up on the pally quest that gives you Verigan's Fist...came to Thottbot and the site said that mace disenchanted into 200g (or at least that's how I read it). Needless to say, I picked up enchanting, and tailoring to go along with it (as a paladin). Found once I DEd it that it didn't turn into money, but continued leveling my professions to 350+ in BC.
I also remember running around as Retribution all the way to level 64 and using Seal of Righteousness because in my mind, it was better for leveling than Command since it always did damage and Command was a "chance on hit".
Then there was my Shock Reckoning build I switched to at 64, where I ran around with a two hander in "of the monkey" plate with agi and stam, then went down the holy tree for Holy Shock and down the prot tree for Reckoning. On the tooltip Holy Shock did as much damage as Crusader Strike, so I figured it'd be better to have that it was only 31 points in Holy over the 41 in Retribution...then I could go down the prot tree for Reckoning since 2 hits were better than 1.
Feb 13th 2009 5:09PM Love the song, been a fan of WT for awhile now, though the artist could have given some credit to Keith Caputo (spelling?) for being the male vocals of the song (as he's not part of WT).
That aside, the video was a good attempt, though I have to agree it was really rough around the edges and probably shouldn't have been released until those last little bits were touched up on. Other than that, I wish they had reused the same animation for the NElf and BElf characters, that got old really quick.
I did like the meaning behind it though, nice try and here's to hoping the next one comes out better!
Feb 11th 2009 7:16PM Why is all WoW themed music based around rap and hip hop?
Cuz Warcraft is thug life gangsta yo.
Jan 12th 2009 7:13PM Retribution paladins can't go without Crusader Strike or Divine Storm.
Frost Death Knights don't not pick up Howling Blast.
You're hard pressed to find a fire mage without Living Bomb.
Every balance druid I know has Typhoon.
Enhancement shaman will always pick up dual wield spec.
---Point I'm making is...there will always be things that are essential for doing what you want to do when it comes to talents and speccing. I don't see Blizzard ever making Titan's Grip baseline because even if it worked better if you were specced as fury, you'd still have arms warriors with double damage dealing Bladestorms, and warrior tank threat generation would be unbelievable.
Jan 11th 2009 5:37PM WoW Insider
I play a ret pally and I was wondering if the paladin level 80 skill, Sacred Shield, is bugged for retribution or if it's working as intended?
When I put on my holy gear with spell power on it, I see that the amount of damage absorbed from Sacred Shield increases. Also prot paladins say their Sacred Shield absorbs more than 500 per proc...but it seems as though the spell isn't getting the spell coefficient from the Sheath of Light talent.
So is that a hiccup on Blizz's part or will we see that fixed in a patch?
Jan 9th 2009 4:22PM Haha yeah I wondered why I couldn't log in. It stuck on the Authenticating part of the log in...so I went to my home forums of Cenarion Circle to see if others were having the same problem, and it was down too.
Kinda figured it was a hick up on Blizzard's end at that point. Damn, and I was just getting off work, ready to do something. Maybe farm the Baron mount for a bit.
