Feb 11th 2009 10:50PM Haha, it was fun to see it pop up every once and a while xD
Jan 19th 2009 1:42PM We only recruit pugs from our raids. In 5 mans or heroics we tend not to take people because they end up not being as good as we thought :(
An example of this would be; We need a few good shadow priests with alot of hit for heroic naxx, so we pug some, and see how they do. We then invite the ones we (the officers) like and we try to get their gear, or their skill up to par for the fight.
That way may not be the best way, or the most reliable way to recruit good players, but we aim not to embarrass ourselves in trade channel with a bunch of spam about us, or be the biggest guild on the server, with only 20 active members.
Jan 19th 2009 1:38PM Noooooo! My beautiful impact! Don't go honey, I can change, I'll reform, I will do anything! Please don't leave me!
*ahem* Well. I don't think i will like to see this if it becomes true, impact has been my great buddy since pre-bc days :(
Jan 19th 2009 1:34PM Man, as I was reading this, I was thinking, "Hey, this sounds like me!" While I am not the leader of the guild I am in, we have been running into this problem.
We had a big falling out between the old leadership (who wasn't doing much on the leading part) and the people who wanted to be the new leadership. A few people left, a few people moaned and groaned, but now we have officers in place that want to see our guild go to bigger and better places. We have yet to see how effectivly this has worked, but we are all crossing our fingers.
If it doesn't work, I will have to get out the [Giant Hammer of Hard Work] and smack some people upside their digital heads.
Jan 16th 2009 10:34AM I'd like to think that my warrior will gain the most from Dual Spec's but in reality i'd have to say it will end up being a healing class/druid.
We can take a priest as an example. He has one spec that is holy, for either PvP or PvE, whatever one he/she likes to use it for. Then has shadow for the other. Healing one spec, dps the next.
Druids will have one spec say for bear tanking, and one for kitty dps (as my girlfriend is currently wanted to use her's for). Or maybe one as resto, the other Balance, or Feral/resto, the possibilities are almost endless.
My warrior however, is just Tank or dps really. Or dps, to dps. Fury to arms. What i would probably do, is have a nice DPS fury spec, and an awesome tanking spec, and switch between the two.
Jan 10th 2009 2:45PM Well its not like i could use/make them yet, but its somewhat sad to see them go. I think a DK will hold on to their weapon now anyway. They looked nice too, and i had a feeling they would get better before the patch, but aw well.
Jan 10th 2009 11:34AM I am still a student in High School (a senior) and i have been playing WoW for just over 3 years now. I cannot remember a time i have gone to bed before midnight unless i had a test, a regatta for crew, or something important the next day. Most of my wow playing in summer or on the weekends happens between 9pm and 6am. I find (on my server at least) that people tend to be a bit more calm and humble, not to mention smarter, around those times. I think this happens because not alot of children are playing that late, and its mostly adults who work the night shift and are off, or are fellow insomniacs like us. ^^
Jan 10th 2009 11:30AM I am waiting until i get to 80 before i do achievements or i know i will end up just doing those and never getting 80 -_-. That is why i do not play my xbox 360 anymore. Those pesky achievements.
